When at a French resto, it’s only right to order this classic dish. TopShelf’s version is done very well. The meat is so tender - you don’t need a knife for this - and so flavourful. My only gripe is that the portions could be a biiiiiiit larger.
Well known braised beef dish of France and it's usually a crowd pleaser as it promises you an everlasting joy in every bite with its beef that is just so tender, falling off the bone (if it happen to have ) or in this case tender till it cuts so effortlessly like a good moist chocolate cake.. In this bistro, this beef dish had a large portion of the beef which is too overwhelming for one if you don't have a large appetite but for me it was just nice.. Sadly the vegetables accompanying it wasn't so joyful looking as it doesn't bring much flavour or texture to this dish making it rather sidelined.. The beef is tenderly cooked but it gets cooled very fast and the braising liquid isn't enough to make it moist own its own on the plate..
