Founded in August 2018 by Leonard Ong, this brand is named for the feel good biological reaction of 'dopamine', and are known for their nut-based gelato.

Serving just 8 varieties of flavours daily, their gelato is made using all natural ingredients, kept in their individual pozzettiย - a traditional Italian way of serving ice-cream to preserve its freshness and prevent cross-contamination by air.

The Roasted Pistachio, in a cup, has a deep robust nutty earthy sweet smoky flavour, and their signature pliant creamy soft texture with a gentle stretch. Finely crushed pistachio nuts lend a grainy texture and added nutty earthy flavour.

The Maple Pecan, in a cone, has addictive floral nutty sweet flavour, and the same signature pliant creamy soft texture with stretch. Bits of pecan nuts lend a firm crunch and nutty earthy flavour.

The classic Banana Caramel was great as well, exactly like having a creamy rendition of the ripened fresh fruit (unfortunately didnโ€™t really get the caramel flavour). Equally fragrant, the premium Almond & Honey gelato (Double $9, Premium +$1) was sweet and had a mild nutty flavour from the honey, roasted almond paste mix - a lighter tasting option from the lot I got in my opinion.

Back twice since December started, (it has been a hot minute but) I am still loving Dopa Dopaโ€™s artisanal gelatos. Sticking to my favourites, the Ferrero remains a must-order with its foolproof combination of house-made Hazelnut paste, cocoa powder and dark chocolate. Nutty, smooth and delicately chocolate-y.

On the waffle (+$6) was also the newer flavour, Pistachio Praline. The milk gelato base was studded with candied pistachios, pistachio nut bits and yummy swirls of homemade pistachio praline. A lovely number even though I would probably stick to their signature Roasted Pistachio for an earthier kick.

- Despite looking sticky, the gelatos were perfectly creamy and melted pretty quickly.

- ๐™๐™ค๐™–๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™™ ๐™ฅ๐™ž๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™˜๐™๐™ž๐™ค (๐™ฅ๐™ง๐™š๐™ข๐™ž๐™ช๐™ข +$1): Instead of the usual green, itโ€™s evident they prepared the nuts from scratch from the light brown hue and bold nutty flavour, which I loved with a slight saltiness! Rlly one of the best pistachio gelatos ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

It's been a long time since my last visit, back when @leonardong.9 first started the business with his awesome handroasted ๐™‹๐™ž๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™˜๐™๐™ž๐™ค ๐™‚๐™š๐™ก๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ค made with a ton of love. โ™ฅ๏ธ Fast forward a few years, and my taste buds tingled with happiness after such a long hiatus of this yummilicious treat.

๐™‹๐™ž๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™˜๐™๐™ž๐™ค ๐Ÿ’š - Creamy and nutty with bits of pistachio, this oh-so-comforting taste is one that my heart remembers from the first time I tried it.

๐™๐™š๐™ง๐™ง๐™š๐™ง๐™ค ๐™๐™ค๐™˜๐™๐™š๐™ง๐Ÿซ - We really loved this rendition of one of our favourite classic chocolates @ferrerorocherit ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Smooth, yet packed a punch with a satisfying hazelnut flavour without the saccharine sweetness offered by other establishments. Butttt why is the amount of gelato scooped so much lesser than the one given for the Pistachio cone? ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ We could definitely have a lot more! Haha... ๐Ÿ˜†โ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธ

What can I say? My heart goes แ—ชOแ‘ญแ—ฉแ—ชOแ‘ญแ—ฉ for this locally made ice cream anytime! ๐Ÿ˜‹โ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธ

Home Roasted Pistachio was one of the best pistachio flavours ever with a strong nutty flavour! There's an additional one dollar for this premium flavour, but it's worth it.
