Before diving into the signature seafood dry laksa, order up a few small plates that you can share with the group. There is the Scallop & Otah Pillow (3pcs, $22) that we have tried which was an explosion of flavour and texture, made with a nori cracker base, topped with otah mousse, hokkiado scallops and avruga caviar for that extra indulgence. Another dish that might be polarizing between diners is the Marmite Brussels Sprouts ($14), which we absolutely love and wiped the plate clean. The umami-ness and richness from the Marmite aioli complements well with the slight bitterness from the brussels sprouts, making it a very addictive vegetable to munch on. To add on to the texture, Chef Renée has added tempura enoki and pickled purple cabbage to balance the flavours. The Szechuan on a Stick (2pcs, $14) marries different cultures into a single dish with the grilled pepper pork satay having a nice sauce bath of the nam jim jaew and finished with crunchy peanuts.

The headliner has definitely got to be the Jelebu Dry Laksa, which we got with the grilled tiger prawn ($22) or you can bougie it up by getting it with the butter-poached lobster ($32/$46). The laksa does not come with your usual thick bee hoon, but a specially formulated one that is able to latch onto the laksa sauce very well so that in every slurp you will get the maximum taste possible. What truly shines through is the housemade rempah that has been blended with all aromatics and spices, and every ingredient such as the taupok, fishcakes, beansprouts and cockles all complement each other well.

As the evening unfolds and the savoury ends, finish your meal with the desserts such as the Kaya Goreng (3 pcs, $14) of charcoal cone filled with kaya coconut mousse with a coconut ice cream by the side or order up a couple of tipples that has been specially concocted for this pop-up like the Buah Kaya ($16) and Boh Laksa ($17).
