Most people might head over to YY Kafei Dian for their iconic kaya butter buns, but they have a special item that, quite literally, flies off the shelves once it’s out to the window. This sugared doughnut might seemed unassuming and you can probably find this at your neighbourhood bakery, but this is nothing like it. In fact, I do not know what magic they add into their baking dough or how they make these doughnuts, but each of them comes out fluffy and chewy. There is zero of that used oil aroma and the sugar coating complements these homemade doughnuts well. This is what I call, simple made into perfection.
