The craving for soya sauce chicken had me going down to Chinatown to visit Hawker Chan for the first time! Arrived a little before 6pm and got in in a jiffy due to the fast turnover of tables. I still remember how my mum used to queue for half an hour to buy boxes of whole chickens, roasted pork and char siew back home, and that was long before it was awarded the Michelin Star. Haven't had it for a long time because of the snaking long queues, so I was excited to be here!

Got the half chicken to share and topped up $1.50 for each portion of noodles. The noodles were q, had a nice bite and was generously served in sauce, so you don't have to worry about it drying up. As for the star of the show, the glossy silky chicken skin still tastes as flavourful but the meat not as tender, especially the non-drumstick parts. But for the shorter waiting time and an air conditioned seating area, it's worth to go! Chili here is also quite shiok, remember to get some!
