This includes four signature mains made using a homemade prawn broth that has been cooked with six laborious hours with fresh prawns and a variety of spices. From the Braised Prawn Broth Hor Fun with Big Prawn ($13.90) to the Stewed Prawn Broth Bee Hoon with Big Prawn ($13.90), there will be a dish that appeals to you. For me, I prefer the former as the rice noodles are first stir-fried over high heat to get the wok hei aroma before it is cooked in the prawn broth with prawns, pork slices and seasonal vegetables. The dish is then thickened with silky egg to make it even more appetizing. There are also the Big Prawn Thick Vermicelli Soup ($13.90) and Prawn-infused Ebiko Prawn Fried Rice ($13.90), the latter if you prefer for some rice in your diet and the rice grains are cooked by the prawn broth before being stir-fried with ebiko and prawns.

Besides the four prawn dishes, there are other new ala carte dishes in the menu such as the Double-boiled Drunken Kampong Chicken Soup ($26.90), Steamed Kampong Chicken in Scallion Oil ($19.90/$38.90), Crispy Sweet & Sour Pork ($15.90) and Stewed Pork Rib with Bitter Gourd ($16.90). My picks will be to get the soul-comforting chicken soup as a nice starter before getting a bowl of rice to go with the improved version of Paradise Classic’s Crispy Sweet & Sour Pork or the Steamed Kampong Chicken for a lighter meal option.
