The series, available from 2 July to 15 August, will feature sweet and savoury buns, pastries and sweets that pay homage to the widely popular street snacks and Korean dishes.

Inspired by the croffle, a trendy Korean pastry of croissant and waffle, BreadTalk has taken the idea to create the Korissant in three flavours of Brown Sugar Injeolmi ($2.20), Kimcheese ($3) and Cinnamon ($2.20). If you are a savoury kind of a person, then the Kimcheese will appeal to you as the flattened croissant is filled with kimchi, gouda and mozzarella cheese. There is an ongoing promotion whereby you can enjoy a free Korissant for every 5 Korissants purchased. Other unique bakes include the widely popular Korean cream cheese garlic bread, Annyeong Garlic ($2.50) which has a garlic cream cheese spread within a fluffy bun that is best eaten when toasted. Other street snacks inspired bakes include the Egg-Ppang ($2.50), Mandu Mandu ($2.20), Kimchi Jjang ($2.50), Injeolmi Patso ($1.60) and Goguma Roll ($12.80, a chiffon roll with sweet potato filling and pudding centre.

To wash it all down, there is a beverage concocted for this series, the Yuzu Sarang ($2.80), a refreshing drink of yuzu honey citron tea with lemon juice.
