Celebrate Singapore’s 53rd Birthday with these local flavours-infused ice cream at @coldstonecreamerysg! Think a Nasi Lemak translated into ice cream entirely, with real ingredients such as cucumber slices, roasted peanuts, ikan bilis, rice puffs topped on coconut ice cream, drizzled with sambal chili sauce. It was legit spicy. (Where’s the egg and otak/chicken wing? 😂) there’s texture, there’s flavour, but got a little jelak when the savoriness set in, which also masked the light coconut ice cream.
The Pulut Hitam ice cream, on the other hand, was slightly more comforting as it wasn’t overly sweet though creamy. No fanciful flavours, so some might probably find it monotonous. The frozen black glutinous rice chunks didn’t really help too.

I like the creativity and novelty behind such creations, but it’s always best to get them shared. Available in the love it size.
