It's circuit breaker so I escaped the usual queue. I first ate this years ago and found the fishballs okay but not great. This time same too. The stallholders are kind and my noodles were generous.

They used to be situated at Margaret Drive Hawker Centre, and were the fishball noodles I ate during my childhood. The handmade fishballs are just as good as I remember them to be: bouncy and slightly salty. My meepok was really average though, so I think I’ll go for either mee tai mak (like what my dad ordered) or kway teow next time I visit.

Didn’t plan to order this but it’s one of those stalls with queue.
The mee poh was a bit lumpy but nothing a bit of soup can’t help. The chilli sauce was addictive, tasting spicy and sweet, kind of like sambal.

Situated in the Bendemeer FC is a branch of the famous 新路 Fishball Noodle at Mei Ling Street FC. The style of cooking and taste is the same. For $3 you get a bowl of noodles with 5 soup spoon size fishballs. The homemade chilli sauce is truly different from other noodles stalls. The stall maybe old but the young man makes good crunchy noodles plus the fishballs (handmade) is bouncy great! Must try.

It has been the longest time since I last had fishball noodle. So this weekend, we travelled to Mei Ling market & food centre for some Teochew fishball at Xin Lu [formerly from Margaret Drive hawker centre] at the request of my mum. Though I’m not much of a fan of their slight-al dente dry mee pok, i really enjoyed their huge, light, and bouncy handmade fishballs with subtle saltiness.
