Dropped by Heritage House recently; an establishment situated at the second level of Vision Exchange within walking distance from Jurong East MRT Station serving up handmade Peranakan Kuehs and cakes.
All three Kuehs were pretty refined; all not being overly sweet and leaves no aftertaste behind. The Kueh Salat carries a light tasting Pandan Mousse over a layer of firmly packed Glutinous Rice for some chew, while the Chendol Talam replicates Chendol so accurate with its deep notes of Gula Melaka that matches with the coconut mouse speckled with pandan; also soft to bite without sticking onto the teeth. Kueh Bingka Ubi is surprisingly the sweetest of the lot, yet the texture is pretty consistent being soft and chewy. A great place for afternoon tea with a cup of Kopi on the side, whilst enjoying an environment away from the crowd.
