Crazy idea to sit outdoors under the 32 deg C scorching weather, but didn’t feel like cooping up indoors on such a sunny day by the river, so Iced Matcha Latte to the rescue... and OMG those spam fries are addictive!! Paired with a truffle garlic dip and a basil cheese dip. Love this place, great for people watching. Free wifi too 😉
So glad there’s a new Menya Kokoro near the office now, easy to just swing by! The mazesoba here has thicker noodles than that from Kajiken, so it feels a little heavier towards the end of the meal. Very yummy minced meat sauce that’s quite spicy even for its regular version (there’s a spicy version too), goes perfect with the runny egg and overdose of chopped spring onion! Colleague and I both enjoyed this, though we may share the large portion next time, instead of a small portion each, too much carbs for lunch 😅 Some say this is better than Kajiken, I think both are comparable; although I personally still prefer Kajiken’s flavours.
Such a pretty, seasonal tendon bowl from Tendon Kohaku at Eat at Seven, Suntec City! I’ve never had fried maple (momiji) leaf before, tastes somewhat like seaweed with that batter 😋
I ❤️ Ramen.
Whenever I’m near Tsujiri, I just have to get my Matcha fix!
Part of Sushi Teh’s Singapore National Day menu, couldn’t resist the novelty! This is actually quite yummy! Coconut milk infused short-grain rice wrapped around a piece of fried chicken, omelette and cucumber, topped with an otah slice and fried ikan bilis. Worth a try! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Throwback to dinner with Eleanor earlier in the week. We both tried this place for the first time, food was alright, I particularly enjoyed the Kimchi Pork dish 😋
🤤😴🧀🍔🍝🍛🥘🍲
Japanese Cheesy Burg - yummy stuff!!
Not the best in town — my Pork & Kimchi Okonomiyaki was a little charred — but still very happy to be able to dig in to one of my favourite Japanese staples so near the office!! 🤩😘 Service was very prompt and nice, with a minimum 20-min. cooking time, and I like that the batter wasn’t too thick. Got to request for the staff to go easier on that mayonnaise next time though, and do be prepared to walk around smelling like fried food after your meal! Thank you @eleanortay for granting my lunch wish!
Finally tried this at Don Meijin at Bugis+, the uncle at the stall was friendly and kind, but food was alright, not memorable. My favourite is still the spicy tendon at Tendon Kohaku 😍😍😍🤤🤤🤤
A good lunch with the colleagues fuels us on for the rest of the work week!
MUST order the lava style omelette for your rice — the moment you cut into that wobbly, eggy goodness is sheer heaven!! 😍😍😇😇 Some people have commented that it’s novelty over taste, we all thought our omurice turned out yummy (will definitely return if we don’t have to queue)! So try it for yourself. Do be prepared for a queue (and slow, slow service) during peak hours.
