Read too many posts about FIX cafe and it lead me on a journey down to Ah Hood Road to try out the Chicken Tikka Naanwich. Succulent chicken pieces, tangy achar, salad leaves and a poached egg on top of a toasted naan makes a great lunch meal!
When will I ever get to try their soup and dory with fruit rub? Seems like I don't have any fate with either. Do find their olive rice very savoury and appetizing!
Think French food with a Japanese twist, 2 of the world's best cuisine combined into delightful dishes- what do you get? That's right, magic! Tried two special dishes, first being the pan fried fois gras coated with black miso served with daikon and daishi. The liver was slightly crisp outside and the sauce was mild but pretty flavourful, unlike salty sauces which masks the original essence. The second dish was the pork belly braised in kakuni style served with mushroom, onsen egg and potato foam. It was delicious, from the well-cooked tender meat to the light potato foam.. This stall also serves classic French food such as the duck rillette and duck confit, both of which I can't wait to try! This chef really knows how to kick up a gastronomical affair in a humble setting.
Looking for something healthy but a salad is too light? Definitely check this out! Pictured is the Penguin - cold green soba noodles with shredded chicken, and other fresh veggies. They also have brown rice dishes, if that's your thing!
I just LOVE salads and I hope you do too. Eating healthy and right is important for us, although some days I do have cheat meals. My salivating plate of Feta Lentil Salad for lunch, and this is so satisfying.

Mixed mesclun salad with white beans, cherry tomato and mandarin orange, dressed with a mixed berry vinaigrette. Probably one of the nicest smelling salads I've ever had.
