D'Life, a lacto-ova vegetarian bistro cafe located in the quaint corner of Commonwealth Crescent neighborhood serving up Western-Chinese tze char style vegetarian cuisine at affordable prices.

Their cakes however are not vegan-approved, this Chocolate Banana slice is awfully rich and sinful, but I'm not complaining. D'Life open their doors daily for breakfast as early as 7am with full service till 10pm. The cafe accepts only cash terms, but do not include service charge and taxes.

Sweet potato burger patty blended with peanuts for the extra crunch, stuffed with slices of cucumbers, tomatoes and cheese sandwiched between a sesame bun, served with salad and fries.

Mushroom Gratin - Button mushroom gratin served with Tennessee heirloom potato puree and belgian endive with Focaccia bread.

Snow Pear and Napa Cabbage Consomme - Double boiled rich vegetable stock with baby pear and almond.

Cafe Salivation at 176 Race Course Road is the first Western Vegetarian Cafe opened in Little India since 2008. The cuisine served at the cafe on the whole is western and mediterranean with a touch of indian influences.

Here’s one of the signature dishes found at Cafe Salivation - Layered sheets of lasagna stuffed with soya mince, tomato sauce, and cheese baked to perfection to give a full-bodied flavour and it actually tasted like real meat. Vegetarian cuisine is not at all boring, and there are too many choices over 60 items on the menu I like to try next time.
