At JQ Chef Cafe that replaces Les Patisseries previous location at Toa Payoh Central. Something I like about this place is that despite being in the heartlands, the food served here is of commendable quality and definitely value-for-money without busting the budget. Coming with torched marshmallows, Vanilla and Chocolate Ice-Cream atop a Buttermilk Waffle, this could pass off as a pretentious waffle in terms of aesthetics but I must say it's probably the best for its price at $9.90. We got impressed by the crispness of the waffle on the first cut; you could actually hear the waffle crackling the moment the knife slices on it, and while the buttermilk flavours were more subtle, it carried that crispy and fluffy texture so accurately. The torched marshmallows were soft and sugar-sweet (good for sweet-tooths like me), but the ice-cream was functional in flavour (not that I am complaining because of the price) and smooth in its texture. Not the most perfect waffle but at $9.90, this is one that is closest to being perfect!

Freshly fried rice donut with soft serve matcha ice cream. The donut was good - crispy on the outside and soft in the inside but the soft serve still need some improvement. The matcha taste stated strong but weak finish.
Opening their doors across from Butterscotch at Bukit Merah Central, Ice Cream Shack offers ice-cold relief from the unforgiving Singapore heat with their diverse selection of flavours. Expect familiar flavours like Cookies & Cream and Pistachio, and experimental ones such as Marmite and Avocado. Single scoops are priced at $3.80 for regular flavours, while premium flavours such as Lychee Rose or Speculoos are priced at $4.60. Have your ice cream with crispy waffles or in a waffle cone (an additional $4.70 and $0.50 respectively)!
Hvala Waffle Bar (Hvala means "thank you" in Croatian) is a kiosk located at 313@Somerset's basement which offers takeaway waffle sticks in a variety of flavours such as Tiramisu, Bella Banana, Creme Brulee and Berries Delight. Go for the Apple Cinnamon Waffle Bar ($3.50) with caramelised crunchy apple slices and a sprinkle of cinnamon powder, or the Smurfy Smores ($3.80) with colourful torched mini marshmallows, chocolate fondue and graham crumbs. Hvala also offers vanilla soft serve if you need something cold to combat a sweltering afternoon!
Love the sweet and crisp charcoal waffle from @fatcatsg. I had it with the Mysterious Flavour which is still something I can't make out.

4 munchies: The great selection of fresh burrito-sized sushi rolls is ideal for busy and health-conscious executives working in the CBD to grab and go. My picks are Crabby Crunch (soft shell crab) with prawn roe and Geisha Dance (grilled unagi) with bacon bits.

Last four days to try this before April's special arrive.
After checking out the one week old The Burning Oats, courtesy of @sophiensyy, we headed to @fatcatsg. I can see why people travel all across Singapore just to try this dessert place. Impressed with the Banana Nutella plated dessert. There were only 10 left by the time I got there. The pina colada spheres were already sold out!
