With the addition of prawns now, the new Prawn & Pork dumpling in Hot Chilli Vinaigrette ($9.80/6pcs), Steamed Glutinous Rice in Red Dates ($7.80), my favourite braised tofu with crab roe ($22.80), lettuce roll with sesame sauce ($8.80), Chilled Jellyfish in soysauce vinaigrette ($12.80) and the sweet Yam Paste Xiaolongbao ($8.80/6pcs) that makes a good dessert.

Giving the short ribs a refreshing citrus yet sweet taste. Also, the Imperial Pot of Prosperity Pencai was so generous in their 13 ingredients. Besides Sea Cucumber, Fish Maw, my favourite dried oyster & black moss, it features unique Braised Irish Duck and Whole Pig Trotter that the elderly would love and it’s so rare to find these days. Well, the true indulgence comes from the Australian 3-head Abalones each perfectly braised and absorbed the full flavours. Available in 2 sizes: Large-$1,088/10pax and Small- $688/5pax.

Set Menus are available too starting from $108/pax for 4-8pax and $2088 for a total of 10pax. And one of my favourite dishes from the set menu would be the Deepfried Lobster with appetising Passionfruit Mayonnaise & Cereal to give that extra crunch. Also, the Double-boiled fish maw in almond superior stock. I really love the flavours of the seafood superior broth coming together with a light tinge of almond cream at the end. It was not overwhelming and i finished every bit of the goodness together with super thick fish maw! Set menus include one of the most indulgent yusheng out there with Lobster, Sea Urchin, Hokkaido Scallop, Tuna, Salmon, Caviar & Crispy Fish ($268/Large). Alternative options of yusheng is also available at $158/large and $88/small.

Not sure why most of the chillicrab pasta in our local cafes is often a tad too sourish from the overuse of tomato paste.

The soup tastes good even after refill and it’s freeflow. Just wished there is a spicier option, like add spicy 🌶 or something. Ended up adding in their kimchi into the pot. Meat portion is pretty decent and oh we ordered the large portion because the difference in price is just $2. They serve good appetisers too!

I must say i was pleasantly surprised to find the actual rice inside, which was fragrant and very well cooked through so it is actually soft. I love the chicken which has a bit of the dark soysauce on it and really tender. I felt the balance of the rice with the chicken chunks is good because you won’t get too much rice in this. I finished the whole puff before i knew it! You could taste the tinge of chilli yet the sauces are kept subtle, which made it easy to finish and not overwhelming. Basically it’s like a plate of hainanese chicken rice but all wrapped into a puff! Get 2 for $3.60. Available till 28 Feb only!

I am tempted to eat it with @oldchangkeesingapore Hainanese Chilli ($5.80/bottle). Also available in Nasi Lemak Chilli and Homemade Sweet Chilli.

Psst. It kept me thinking about it so I made EU share another Hainanese Chicken Rice’O with me 🙊 I prefer eating it hot so i highly recommend to heat it up before eating!

I’ve just found my new favourite besides their signature White Lor Mee here. The meesua is so soft that we actually have difficulty scooping it up with chopsticks. As a fan of meesua myself, i really like this especially with those eggs. I find it so flavourful that i finished my bowl of meesua without any chilli even though i was super full from eating the dishes before. This meesua is part of the 8-course CNY Plentiful Set Menu ($798) for 10pax which includes:
1) Prosperity Yusheng
2) Pot of Goodies (Abalone) Pencai
3) Steamed Soon Hock
4) Putien Style Pork Ribs
5) Stir-fried Yam
6) Conpoy with mushrooms & Broccoli
7) Longevity Noodles
8) White Fungus Soup with Longan and Red Dates

I like how @putien_sg design their set menu to fit even couples or small families of 2 or 4 pax starting from $108/2pax and $218/4pax. They have 3 categories of set menu and the one i had is Plentiful Set which comes with abalone pencai.

Psst. I checked already, all CNY set menus come with this longevity meesua. I ate mine at their first outlet at Kitchener Road which was awarded Michelin One-star.

Roast duck, crispy roast pork and caramelised charsiew not forgetting the crispy lard. Even the noodles is good which has the flavours from fhe lard and of course their chilli is worth the mention!!! (Am glad they were generous on their chilli when i asked for extra, pls keep it that way) For a bowl of this, it costs more than $10 but the portion is huge! I can’t finish them. The roasts is authentic. Love the roast pork and especially their charsiew which are chunky and bursting in flavours. The omelette is thick and fluffy but the fried wanton alittle disappointing. Would come back just for the roast noodles though. Because it so @fook.kin good.

Saw this and decided to try baking it for breakfast over one weekend and it turned out pretty simple. Added cheese under those eggs for the extra ommph. And yes, those yolks still run. Perfectly. 🥚🥓🍞🧀

Besides their signature Curry Chicken ($6.80) or this must-try Chicken Biscuit, they also have Emperor Cream Sauce Chicken/Fish ($6.90) which was my mum’s favourite. Somehow it reminded me of salted egg but there really isn’t any inside. I love their Claypot Curry Fish head ($28) too, which is pretty big and serves a decent 3-4pax. For an affordable and nostalgic curry that brings back memories of our grandma’s times, there is an outlet at the right hand corner of Vivocity L3 Food Republic.

But hey, for a $22 whole lobser that is this fresh, one can’t ask for too much. You may consider adding some fried chicken wings sprinkled with their spices too ($3).

The doughs come in different flavours and we went for Chocolate chips and Peanut Butter. Tasted grainy which i believe is their signature texture, indeed felt like eating unbaked cookie dough (though i never tried unbaked ones, only could imagine). Both EU and I felt the doughs definitely tasted better with soft serve, well it feels more like a dessert with the softserve and it’s actually pretty filling too. Interesting and one of a kind to bring out the cookie monster in you.

Besides white rice, we can also select between meesua or their Teochew Braised Pig’s Trotter Rice to go with that fragrant porkribs soup with peppercorns. It was already pretty crowded among tourists and locals when i was there last fri evening.

Now till 31 May 2019, diners at Rangoon Road outlet (7am-11am) and Chui Huay Lim Club (9.30am-11am) will enjoy a complimentary pot of Kungfu tea with a minimum spend of $35 per bill. I tried their 小叶甘 (Xiao Ye Gan) tea which is light with a sweet floral fragrance at the end.
