Luckily it wasn't as sweet as it looks. I don't usually like dairy but this was made bearable and quite enjoyable by the generous layer of Oreo bits that I mixed with the light milky snow ice. Definitely more appropriate for sharing! #Burpple

Went to Penny University with my boyfriend for brunch. The food there was definitely hella nice and totally worth the price we paid, although they did not update the menu on their website. The portions served were adequate. In terms of customer service, the people working there were friendly and efficient. Definitely worth the try to go, especially if it's your first time coming here.

Dulcet & Studio is famous for its cream puff and this is no exception. Cream on the top but strawberry jam below. Really yummy tea break.

1. Fries with a Side of Guilt ($14)
2. Salsiccia and Morning After 2-in -1 pizza.

The Fies with a Side of Guilt is basically a generous bowl of chunky hand cut fries tipped with cheddar sauce, shaved paresan, jalapeño,  and bbq sauce. Overall it was a tasty dish but we felt that it could have been better with some minced meat or more special topping. As it is, it seems to us that the Fries with a Side of Guilt is an atas cheese fries, which is not exactly worth spending $14 on. It'd be much more worth it to get another pizza.

The pizza here was definitely one of the favourite pizzas ever. The Salsiccia side of the pizza came with pork chorizo,  mangalica sausages, mushroom, onion, and garlic with a tomato base and topped with mozzarella. With its abundant toppings of meat, this pizza is a must try for meat lovers. We also loved the mushrooms interspersed between the meat which gave the pizza a variation of texture.

The Morning After side of the pizza was served with mozzarella,  bacon, mushroom, and a soft egg in the center. People often say simplicity is the best, and this pizza is definitely proof of that. The toppings came together in perfect harmony and truly wowed us. If there was any food I'd like after the morning after a crazy night, I have no doubt that it'll be this gem of a pizza. In additional, the simplicity of the Morning After also served as a good contrast with the Salsiccia, and made the whole meal even more enjoyable!

Definitely must try!!!!

consisting egg ben protected by crown puff, bacon, red wine braised oxtail, sautéed mushrooms, baked tomato and chicken sausage. highlight of the dish was certainly the crown puff that was really flaky and buttery! 1 crown puff was definitely not enough.
other dishes were really good as well, and I was impressed with how tender the oxtail was. probably a rare item to be included as part of a brunch menu.

Singaporean's Guide To Ulu Café Hopping

Price Range: $10-$15

Nearest MRT: Marymount

Instagrammability: High -
Very presentable food; being almost entirely on boards. Space is oddly shared at 5pm with Crust Pizza though.

Food:
1) Brioche French Toast & Bananas [$10.00]
Soft, thick brioche accompanied with pulls of caramel & cream. Could have been toasted more for better flavours.
Bananas were nicely caramelized.
The lack of cinnamon or a berry compote probably keeps its price down.

2) Gashouse Egg & Bacon Jam [$10.00]
Comes with an impossibly crisp biscuit, topped with minced candied bacon.
The bread's periphery is hard to work through, but its core is a delicious and glorious meld of cheese & runny egg.
I could do without the jam & biscuit, if it means lower prices of $5 or less. Worth ordering again at that pricetag.

One Man Coffee's a decent budget alternative to the string of upmarket Thomson joints seeking to unseat Tiong Bahru.

Come here: Again.

Here's more Grub!

Sakura Ebi Pasta, Mentaiko Fries and Fish Burger.
It's monster's first time having some grub at Grub.
The aglio olio pasta and the fries were a nice change to the standard food fare. Though the mentaiko sauce does get abit clingy as time goes by.
All in all it was still a pleasant meal.
Monster continues his food rampage!

8 yummy wings that exceeded my expectations. The honey coated wings were not too sweet and did not override the paprika powder that was dusted on each wing.

The paprika provided a slightly spicy kick to each wing and both spicy and sweet flavours came full circle to provide a burst of flavour. The meat was tender and well cooked through.
