The Mee Rebus was a familiar rendition with key aspects done right: sweet, thick gravy coating the generous portion of firm noodles and accompanied by hard-boiled egg, green chilli, bean sprouts and fried shallots.

Seafood-in-a-bucket concept - Mr Wholly offers Create Your Own Set Bucket (prices vary) that gives diners control over their choice of seafood. You can pick your preferred sauce, such as Chilli Kicap, Tom Yum Cream, or even local favourites like Laksa, and Curry. We loved our pairing of crab with aromatic sambal sauce, which features a tantalising whole Vietnam crab that is cooked to perfection.

House Special Laksa Goreng - The rice vermicelli was stir fried with thick and rich laksa gravy, and served with prawns, tau pok and egg. The laksa is flavoured with coconut milk, dried shrimps and peanuts, similar to satay bee hoon sauce.

Bamboo biryani, there’s only the lamb shank version available. They, however, do serve regular biryanis with chicken, fish and mutton. They cook the lamb shank together with the rice in an imported Indian bamboo trunk which locks the flavors in.
