This stall presents its food in such a simple yet attractive style that it made it hard for us to decide what to order. Haha, the perils of an appetising display! In the end, we opted for the braised pork set (it came with tender pork belly, stewed cabbage and a fried egg), and the pork chop rice set (same as the former except for the meat). Greedy us could not resist adding on a couple more stirfried vegetables: crunchy long beans and "Sichuan chye" (spicy pickled cabbage) for my braised pork set, and stirfried bitter gourd for his pork chop one. The curry that was splashed over both heaps of rice wasn't overly rich in coconut milk or too spicy either. A tasty combination for sure.
If you are in the Raffles Place area and feel like a cheap and tasty rice dish, this stall on level two of Market Street food centre is worth checking out.
