Got this for my mala craving. Decent bowl, minimum spend of $5 though. You can either buy by weight, or let the lady pick for you for fixed prices ($1 for veg).

Hurrah the Indian food here makes me so happy and compels me to finish every single grain of rice (❤️fish curry❤️). Even the vegetable sides were the best I’ve tried so far.

This halal cafe was located in a really secluded spot in Our Tampines Hub, and sadly there weren’t many patrons when we were there. They have 2 options for their set lunches, one with a side, and the other with a side, drink and dessert. Got the one with one side only (got the tortilla chips), and was stuffed by the time the main arrived. Basically the cafe fare was good, and if you’re ravenous this is the perfect place for you, because the others who took the larger set lunch was struggling to finish dessert loool.

Burpple Beyond for this! Found this to be really expensive for the usual price because the portion was pretty small, so thankfully there was the 1 for 1. Staff was friendly, not bad a place to study too.

I was brought here thrice by my parents who wanted me to try the fish head curry, and each time it was either sold out (note: don’t bother trying for dinner time) or closed. Finally got it!! They generously gave us nearly half the body of the fish together with the head. Fish curry has to be my favourite kind of curry, as I love the sour tang; this dish is like fish curry jumbo-sized. Soo good that I finished all my rice and continued to down the gravy by itself.

Also the queue here never ends! Saw many people eating their briyani too.

Found a mala gem at Far East Plaza! Always wanted to try mala at 313 but deterred by the ridiculous price and long queue; over here there’s no need to worry about that. Really enjoyed their more liberal use of spices (not just plain numbing spiciness) though we kinda overestimated the amount we took and was left with this lingering sadness that we finished our bowl... that we ordered another bowl and got laughed at by the staff 🙃 please don’t underorder because each bowl requires a $1+ extra payment for the mala sauce

My favourite steamboat place — crazy flavorful soup (think tonkotsu ramen broth but mutton), melt in your mouth lamb ribs, funky Chinese appetizers like that seaweed/beancurd skin thing at the back which are awesome.

I love my chicken feet yes you were worth the wait

Asked for a recommendation (because we were kinda short on time and their menu is way too long) and the waitress pointed this not very typical dimsum item so we ordered it. It came piping hot with this mango salad mayo and yes defo worth the recommendation.

Ahh finally got to try 126 and I LAAARVE IT so much better than swee choon. Love the fluffy pau; pork ribs were normal; yam cake was fantastic — was slightly torn between steamed or fried yam cake and decided for steamed for #health and it turned out to be a great decision because then you could really taste and tell the perfect ratio of yam to flour.

Portion good for 4. Sadly not as flavorful seafood-wise, though they’re pretty generous with the ingredients.

With lunch sets of ~$15 that comes with a drink (other options include pastas, fish and chips..), this gorgeous cafe is a hidden gem in Changi Village. My order of portobello wrap is vegetarian-friendly and comes with good chunks of portobello mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes (!!). They have sides like truffle fries and fried portobello as well, good for sharing.
