Portion good for 4. Sadly not as flavorful seafood-wise, though they’re pretty generous with the ingredients.

With lunch sets of ~$15 that comes with a drink (other options include pastas, fish and chips..), this gorgeous cafe is a hidden gem in Changi Village. My order of portobello wrap is vegetarian-friendly and comes with good chunks of portobello mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes (!!). They have sides like truffle fries and fried portobello as well, good for sharing.

Finally got to try their cakes (about $5 per slice) and understood what my friends were raving about! I normally shun cream cakes; I’m more of a chocolate all the way kind of person. But the cream on both (white zebra is a mille crepe cake) tasted really fresh and light, leaving you clawing for moore.

Seems like almost all customers were here for the staff menu, with prices ranging $10-$16. Went for the $10 ramen which sadly paled in comparison to the growing standards of ramen in Singapore (keisuke mah love). But the bento sets others got seemed super worth it, with sides like karaage chicken, salmon sashimi, chawanmushi in one set.

This pretty legit 茶餐厅 is located in the ulu area of Midview City, but is worth a detour into if you have a car. Even the staff speak Cantonese! Most customers order individual rice/congee/noodle dishes, but we went with plain noodles and orders of vegetables, beef brisket (suuuperbly tender), pork trotters, and half a concubine chicken (a little salty but still sogoooood).

Got this at a sustainable living market (gotta walk the talk and eat all the food). Tried diabetic cakes previously that just tasted like cake batter, but this vegan brownie successfully disguised itself as a fantastic piece of chocolate sin.

With our thosai cravings still raging (right after devouring a masala dosa and the pudi masala one) we randomly picked this from the menu slideshow MTR shows on their TV screens. This one came super crispy, a tissue prata-like kind of thin, though not as tasty. Still, everything here is good for a try because you never know what gems you can uncover.

Pretty decent grub with little nuggets of soft eggplant; will still carb load with thosai instead though!

Tried some new dishes, including this special of the day. Described as vadai in some lentil soup, wasn’t as flavorful as I hoped but still pretty good, and vadai tasted like a delish Indian hashbrown

Must-order here, my fav thosai ❤️

Used to frequent this China stall, but now they changed the chef and the food became kinda odd — mala was not at all numbing/spicy, even kinda sweet? The deep fried intestines were the only saving grace, though it’s hard to go wrong with that.

Prawns 10 for $12! Really like how they have daily seafood deals for a steal.
