Atas A Bit
Gone are the days of wondering where to eat before hitting your favourite bars. Places like Maison Ikkoku are coming up with comforting dishes like this King Prawn Udon that satisfies with its Lobster brothānot too thick and overwhelming, yet still flavourful. The two king prawns are giant and a little difficult to eat (definitely needs getting your fingers a little messy). Unlike most udon noodles served at udon eateries these noodles are flat, but soft and chewy nonetheless. The soup has a very mild spicy flavour that just tickles the tastebuds and may not even be apparent to those that like to consume spicy dishes regularly. A satisfying portion to get the appetite ready for some cocktails.
The best dish at Don Ho has got to be this Crispy Eggplant. We nearly skipped this dish because I don't usually like to eat eggplant, but luckily we were persuaded to try it and I couldn't get enough of it. Each piece of eggplant was nicely caramelised yet not too sweet and had a nice sesame flavour. This would be the first thing I order when I visit Don Ho again.
Also the atmosphere was cosy yet well spaced out. We were lucky enough to get a table facing the open kitchen which was super fun as we got to watch the preparations, but also torturous as I kept getting greedy and curious as to what the chefs were whipping up.
If you're visiting for the first time, find the entrance at the back of LOLOKU and be careful not to roll down the steep grassy slope when leaving after a few drinks.

Served with a fried sesame dumpling. The perfect end to a good meal at Mitzo, the desserts are definitely eye candy and are a more refined version of the same favourite desserts commonly served elsewhere. This tasted much like an atas version of Mr. Avocado Milkshake, except slightly thicker. My only gripe was that there wasn't quite enoughāsays the dessert glutton.

I'd go back for these noodles, but best to avoid the lunch crowd.
I'm not sure what's so special about this "Combo" set that's basically a "Twosome" Noodle set ($7.5) with an additional side of 5-minute egg, veges & shitake mushroomsākinda steep to pay an additional $7.5 for an egg and veges. š¤ Did I miss something? Maybe if it was an onsen egg I'd be more impressed. But if you're going there for noodles, just get the Twosome or Threesome imo.

Came with 2 side dishes and traditional condiments.
Soul food on the pricey side when you just need to spoil yourself for an escape away from the hustle and bustle of people in the real world.
And of course a side of Tauhu Telor ($16.0) just because it's too delicious to pass up. Best shared with good friends of course.

Because cravings after the bad one we had the other day. This was much better. Love the crispy deep-fried beancurd and sour peanut sauce.
