Miso Pork collar comes with roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The pork was unbelievably tender, slightly pink on the inside with a nice charred exterior. It is actually quite a decent portion though one of the pricer item on the menu. With entertainer app, this dish is a steal!

Crispy and light on the outside while tender and juicy inside, the breaded chicken thigh is one of the better ones around. I wonder if it'll be even better to have some cheese stuffing inside to give it more flavour. The delicately sweet corn puree gives another dimension to this dish along with some roasted cauliflower and crispy sage.

With all the raving about the chilli crab tendon from Don Meijin, I finally headed down with some friends to try it out! Chilli crab sauce had bits of crab meat and was slightly sweet with a spicy kick. Batter on the tempura prawns and vegetables was a tad soggy. But the winning dish was the pork katsu don as the pork was tender, super juicy and absolutely flavourful! Love the generous portion as well.

Decent lobster bisque in a large bread bowl! The broth was thick and creamy. Tried many other dishes here including their steak (tender but could be juicer), pork ribs (overpriced), eggs benny (yummy and adorable plating) as well as the seafood medley (not bad, liked the gigantic prawn). All their food looks and sounds amazing from the shioba pasta, chilli crab pasta to the rather unique doritos boneless winglets! Unfortunately, there were more misses than hits. The chunks of pork belly were tough and crackling skin too hard to bite through, the oily pasta made things even worse. Probably the only saving grace was their truffle fries and drinks like the baileys ice chococlate.

Mains that I tried include tender and juicy spring chicken stuffed with seasonal vegetables, fresh seasonal clams fettuccine in fermented bean cream sauce, rack of lamb and pulled pork burger. For those working around tiong bahru area and hoping to indulge an occasional lunch treat without busting your budget, great news! Chapter 55 has a 1 for 1 Weekday Lunch promo and it's really worth it. Decent sized portion, delicious mains for you to enjoy. I tried their grilled chicken chop which was generously doused in fresh pesto sauce, alongside came the cheesy potato bites. Yum! I also tried their seafood pasta which had fresh prawns, chewy clams and bouncy squid.

Prive@chijmes is the perfect chill out place for a Friday night. Extensive menu alongside wide variety of drinks! We tried so many of their dishes. Their steak was juicy and tender. The classic carbonara is a must try as it is super creamy and the thick cut bacon a total show stopper. Other great stuff we tried was the pan roasted sea bass, miso salmon, sticky ribs and more! The queue was immensely long. We queued close to an hr starting at 7pm on a Tuesday evening. But I'd say it's worth it but only if it's your first time trying. This overflowing bowl of goodness consist of 2 prawns, 2 amazingly tender chicken, 2 long beans, 2 pumpkin, 1 mushroom, 1 baby corn and 1 egg over a bed of fragrant sticky jap rice. All marinated and deep fried in their savoury tempura coating! Plus Miso soup and delicious smooth chawanmushi!

Golden Kani Maki - rolled maki with deep fried house seasoned soft shell crab, fresh snow crab, cucumber and crispy mozzarella with toasted seaweed and a generous dose of golden salted duck egg hollandaise
The best soft shell crab maki ever! Generous hunks of sweet crab meat paired perfectly with deliciously savoury salted egg sauce. Fragrant sticky jap rice soaked up the yummy sauce. Gigantic portion. Excellent dish!
