♻️Going green! The only time I 'go green' is when it comes to my food🍵. Haha.
The taste of the bread reminds me of the iconic 'Rotiboy' buns. It has that similar buttery pastry with a crispy sweet topping. If you haven't eaten 'rotiboy', just imagine bread with a cookie-ish layer on top. Cut into the pastry and it will reveal a brightly coloured green matcha filling.I like how the sweetness of the bread balances against the saltiness in the butter and the slight bitterness from the matcha sauce. Drinking is so yesterday! Why drink when u can get drunk by eating cake? This is a 'adult only' boozy chocolate cake. The cake is extremely rich, moist, and dense with a warm Kahlua undertone. In other words, pretty much my idea of heaven. A cake 'To Die For' that singes my taste buds with pure chocolate ecstasy! (RM18)
Their Chicken Chop came with a large lean piece of protein, some fries and assorted vegetables served in a sweet orangey-brown sauce. The chicken is breaded before grilling, making it crisp on the outside while maintaining its juiciness on the inside. This got to be one of the best Chops that I have ever had so far. (RM10.50)
Why are they so special ? Because they have a foam on the top and they use coconut milk instead of normal milk. RM3.20
Keeping the ingredients simple, a bowl of 'Cheese Maggie Curry' comes with assorted vegetables, sausages, egg and most importantly Cheese! The cheese gives the broth an extra milky texture, sweetly flavoured and may be a little spicy for some accompanied with noodles that are al-dente,. (Rm4)
A perfect ice cold treat on a scorching hot day in Penang. 3 full scoops of milky vanilla ice cream with just a mere price of RM8 ringgit. So cheap! The matcha sauce has that bitter taste which is my determining factor of a premium matcha. The aroma of green tea was fragrant and intense. The bitterness from the matcha balances well with the sweetness of the ice cream, like Yin and Yang !
A charcoal stove is used to fry the koay teow , which gives the dish a woodsy smoky fragrance. Then there’s the plump juicy and fresh big prawn. 3 to be precise! Opt for the spicy version for extra oomph which complements well with the fragrant char koay teow.
