Kajang Eats
Waited more than an hour for this to come. Chicken (RM0.92), Beef (RM0.92) and Lamb (RM1.51). The peanut sauce was more diluted than it was before, and wasn't as fragrant. The satay was a bit bigger than what I remembered.
New udon/don place in town near to Convent Kajang. In frame: Bukkake Cha Shu Udon (RM14.90). Udon here are freshly made and had a firm chewy texture. The poached egg were over done but still had an enjoyable meal. We've also tried the Gyuniku Udon (RM15.90) which had a slight peppery soup with generous serving of marinated beef. The Tanin Don (RM14.90) is worth a try too, but a tad bit sweet.
Taro balls, red bean, honey bean, baby pearls and herbal jelly. Quite a big bowl for that price and tasted quite good. Definitely would recommend to try.
The cafe was creatively decorated but the space was quite small. Tables were so near each other that there was little walking space. In frame: Braised Pork Rice (RM5.90) or make it a set for RM9.90 with a drink and vegetables. It’s a mehh bowl of rice. Bit of meat and little sauce on white rice. Didn’t particularly enjoyed it. But the sweet potato fries (RM6.90) was good, crispy and well seasoned. Oh, and you can remark for less rice, salt or oil for the dishes upon ordering.
Chanced upon this place when heading to another restaurant. Presented with a menu of 20 bestsellers, of which lat tong is their signature. Lat tong or spicy soup is a peppery, ginger soup with a mix of pork belly, chicken and innards. Kampung chicken was lean and really tough to chew and pork belly was tender. Fragrant and flavourful soup with strong peppery taste, perfect in the rainy weather.
