Hidden Gem

Our favourite Nasi Padang stall at OTH (Our Tampines Hub) basement 1. Hidden location (walk towards the end of the floor pass the Merely Ice cream shop) and you will be surprised by the strong crowd. The food is spot on as usual although a slight confusion in order as we didn’t order Kang Kong and Tenggiri fish so we paid $31 and exchange these 2 dishes to be ikan Billis later instead.

In Bugis outlet, they normally give the receipt so we can see the cost breakdown for each dish but no receipts in OTH so some confusion there for the changes. They also forgot our drink and only serve at the end of meal.
Otherwise, this would have been an amazing lunch! New item for us: Chicken curry gravy is really sedap! 👌😋

Call it a hidden gem for crabs! We gotta admit that neither Long Beach nor Jumbo Seafood can beat this place when it comes to value for money. The black pepper crab dish ($30) here is such a 🌟!!

Crab shell is well coated with bold & delicious black pepper sauce. The dish comes with a crab cracker. Get ready to tuck in with your fingers. We enjoy this along with sambal Kangkong $10 and a bowl of white rice to share. 👌 Until next time! 😌

This is the second Burmese eatery we tried in Peninsula Plaza. Last time we tried Yanant Thit restaurant. Both restaurants are kind of hole-in-the-wall places that is always packed at lunch time.👌😉

We ordered the customised bowl of tea leaves salad (one of famous Burmese dishes) sans peanut. The salad is still crunchy with broad beans & fried shrimp. The fermented tea leaves are so fragrant and naturally caffeinated that we are so alerted now!! 😳

Other items we tried in this eatery are spicy fried bitter gourd, preserved mango salad, bamboo shoot, chicken with potato & spicy lentil. The first 2 dishes are not blowing us away compared to the latter dishes and the tea leaves salad though. The total bill comes at $23 (incl. 2 rice, 2 soup & 1 yoghurt drink)
