English Pizza
The location is convenient, the atmosphere is nice with French musak, the food is ok but not special enough to scream about, and prices are high to pay for the brand and real estate. The beautiful vertical garden would be too Vert for the Khmers Rouges.
The unagi here are crunchier, smokier, and more flavourful than those served at non-specialist restaurants. One must try the Hitsumabushi, which they recommend to eat three ways - on its own, with wasabi and other condiments, or with a broth; each is delicious in a different way. They use all parts of the eel: ‘Crispy bone’ is scrumptious, grilled liver is interesting, liver ponzu is less good than ankimo (monkfish liver) as it is less fatty. Low-key but pro-active, polite service.
We have come here 3 times because of the Entertainer 1-for-1 offer, and the location is convenient. The food is average - not great but not bad either. Some interesting pizza toppings, like laksa and carbonara (with a soft egg in the middle!) This time, we ordered a large salad to take away; it was Lilliputian especially considering the price of $19++. The excuse was it fit the largest non-pizza box they had!! Now that we don’t have any more Entertainer vouchers for Pizza Express, we would go back to Calibrate Pizza Kitchen a few blocks away - more innovative and better food, as well as longer menu.

Farting is healthy (the wet type, less so)
