B.E.C. ($12)
This sandwich comes with Homemade Thick Bacon, and YES, an extremely thick layer Scrambled Egg - just look at it?!!?!!
Actually my first time having such a thick slab of bacon, and I'm totally not complaining. It gives you the full flavour, and goes pretty well with the scrambled. Only qualm was we felt that the toast for this sandwich to be slightly dry, but we've also found that it differs with every sandwich, which means every buttered toast isn't consistent.

Candied bacon Grill cheese pancakes ($12)-their pancakes work much better with savory than sweet. Bacon was generous. 4.25/5

By day, this shared space along Upper Thomson Road is run by One Man Coffee, where you can have an affordable and substantial brunch with great coffee. After 5.30pm, Garçons takes over. Indoor seats are limited, so come early if you're in a big group. It makes for a great coffee pitstop too — be sure to get the Piccolo ($4) with an extra shot ($1) for an instant boost. Of all the items offered here, the clear standouts include the impressive Gashouse Egg with Bacon Jam ($12). Thick brioche with a runny egg in the middle is blanketed with melted cheese and served with a side of salty-sweet bacon jam. Be sure to have your phones nearby as you carefully slice through the centre to release a liquid gold river, you wouldn't want to miss out on all the flowy action. The Big Brekkie ($17) that comes wtih two poached eggs placed on sourdough rye, served with a side of superbly candied bacon, roasted cherry tomatoes, button mushrooms and baby spinach is made better with the addition of a chorizo sausage. End your meal on a sweet note with the Brioche French Toast ($12, $15 with vanilla ice cream), probably one of the most pocket-friendly in Singapore with the fluffy toast dusted with icing sugar, served with caramelised bananas, strokes of French cream and lashing of rich salted caramel.
Avg Price: $20 per person

Came to Elixir Boutique Roasters for brunch on a Saturday morning.

My friend and I both ordered the Truffle Egg Prosciutto. I felt that the savoury prosciutto went really well with the buttery, warm toast. My favourite part was the truffle eggs, a combination which I have never tried before but actually proved to taste amazing!

I ordered a flat white to go with my meal. The coffee was fragrant, and not too bitter, which I liked. :) certainly a great pick-me-up to start off my day.

Elixir Boutique Roasters is currently running #ElixirForTips till 2 August, a pay-as-you-wish concept for the coffee and food. Would recommend checking this out

Old Hen is one of my favourite spots for brunch. They have an Asian-European fusion menu with interesting dishes such as mochi pancakes, avocado on toast with harissa, and fries with Singapore chilli crab. The coffee is excellent, but only available in one size. This place would be perfect if they could do coffee in a mug!

Had been to the Tanjong Pagar one but not the novena one so came here for their menu emphasis on smoking. Had the ribs with smoked spiced ribs, jalapeno puree, rub BBQ sauce with Hobo greens. I like the fact that the bagel itself is not too dry and the ribs is very tender that goes well with the seeded bagel. The pink lemonade is definitely something you need under this hot weather!

Seems like my third Croissant 🥐 post this year from @columbuscoffeeco - but finally found the best combination! Order their Mushroom on Sourdough ($14) but change the sourdough to their croissant and add on Scrambled eggs ($3)!

Coming with cheese and ham, this is a pretty delightful starter that is suitable to share with three pax or more. The crusty bread comes fluffy with a chewy tension; carries a hint of herbs with melted cheese as well as ham stuffed in between. A starter to be shared that would hit well with bread lovers.
