Keen for Korean

Came across this small Korean eatery at Plaza Singapura, which offers Korean fare at reasonable prices. Their seafood pancake was surprisingly good. Much thicker than usual, but with a satisfying crisp.

I think japchae can be pretty hit-or-miss. Sometimes it's too dry/tasteless/hard.
Their japchae was pretty good - meatless, but tasty, silky and served piping hot. Slightly oily, but I guess that's what helped it stay so supple even towards the end of the meal!

I have eaten these since I was young, and also at roadside carts during my previous trips to Korea, so these Korean fishcakes bring back special memories. I don't think many people would like this, but I'm obsessed with these chewy fishcakes in anchovy broth.

The chicken was very tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Tasted very fresh and not greasy at all. I also really liked the sauce! It looks a bit like chilli sauce but it wasn't spicy at all. In fact, I liked it so much that I was dipping my pizza dough in it after we finished all the chicken. I love that they give extra sauce on the side.

This was one of our favourites as the meat was flavourful and tender. I loved how they artfully cut and twisted the lemon to put on top! Thought it was such a clever touch.

Always love me a good haemul pajeon, and this was a pretty decent one! The seafood was fresh and adequately generous, the soy dipping sauce nice, and the pancake fairly thin and crispy.

Was expecting this to be gimmicky, especially cuz of how they instruct you to shake it before eating it (see 4th pic), but it was actually not bad!

There was a generous amount of chicken. The shredded veggies and rice were crisp despite having been delivered, and the spicy gochujang sauce was packaged separately so everyone could decide how much they want to add. Pretty decent I would say!

They ran out of rice so I added-on ramen instead. The soup was a little too thick - which is both good and bad since 1) it means they don't over-dilute it with water but also 2) a bit cloying after a while! Not my favourite rendition of these Korean instant noodles. Would say their chicken wings are better!

I tried both flavours: the 2 pieces on the left are Spicy and the 2 pieces on the right are Garlic Soy! Loved that their wings were all very crispy. The spicy flavour isn't actually spicy - tastes very much like gochujang (the sweet chilli sauce that's served with bibimbap). My favourite is the garlic soy flavour which was tasty yet not too salty/sweet. Glad they allowed me to mix flavours so I could try both!
