Young and old are bound to appreciate the BBQ Buffet ($30 per pax), which features over 50 items from tteokpokki (rice cakes) to meats. Take Burppler Ivan Teh's lead and go for the 13 different types of marinated pork belly, his favourites being the refreshing Herb and the locally-flavoured Lychee. When the late night cravings strike, turn to this steamboat buffet spot along Dunearn Road (opens till 2am daily) to satisfy hot, brothy cravings. The Steamboat Buffet ($25.40 on weekdays, $26.90 on weekends) sees a wide variety of ingredients and soups (additional $4 each), with good service to top! We recommend going for the umami laksa broth, before picking your way through the assortment of fresh seafood, from bamboo clams to mussels.

Fuel up at this vegetarian restaurant along Race Course Road on days where meat isn't in the cards. We recommend the smoky Hara Paneer Tikka ($11.90), consisting fresh indian cottage cheese smothered in mint and coriander, and served with charred peppers. Pick from a whole variety of dosas as well, our pick being the crisp and buttery Butter Paper Dosa ($4.50).

Set in the lobby of The Great Madras hotel, this halal cafe serves Spanish tapas complete with a relaxed vibe that's perfect for a girls' night out. We recommend the Halloumi Con Cranberry ($11), which sees an delicate balance between savoury halloumi and sweet cranberry sauce. The Gambas Al Ajillo ($12) is another winner here, featuring fresh, meaty pan-fried prawns marinated in an assortment of spices. Leave on a high with the crisp and fluffy Banana Bread Waffle ($10)!
