[$5.90] Really loves the creamy serve with strong natural matcha taste. #matchaya #burpple #dessert

Thanks for burpple beyond 1-1 my gf and i can go around trying different sort of açaí!
Nothing beats açaí affair and coocaca tho! i felt like acai beach club’s açaí bowl contains a lot of banana and liquid in them and i don’t really like banana. texture is too watery.

I also tried their original sambal and the one for the chicken. The duck is so good and the killer sambal is just the thing to take it to the next level! At SGD9.90, this was one heck of a superb meal, tasty and great value. Thanks, @singaporeliciouz for your recommendation.

OK, I have to be honest. I am not into healthy food especially those that are "hard core" if you know what I mean. But because August was my birthday month, I'd spoiled myself with far too many rich meals. Inevitably, guilt set in. So I wanted to "eat clean" to balance out those indulgences but had trouble locating a place to go. As fate would have it, I was invited by Word Of Mouth P.R. to a tasting at Wholesome Savour - a vegan and gluten-free eatery in Palais Renaissance. It seemed like the universe was trying to tell me something 😆
Admittedly, I was a tad worried because I generally like my food unhealthily delicious ("more pork lard please"). Hence, my secret fear was their food would bore me. However, the dishes I had, turned out to be actually much tastier than I'd anticipated. What a pleasant shocker!
It helped that while waiting, I learned from the friendly owner Jason Fong, so much about the company's approach and philosophy to food, as well as their on-site high-tech preparation methods.
Only ingredients with the highest amount of nuitrients make the cut and they use alkaline water in everything too. What's more, nothing, and I mean nothing, is "cooked" at temperatures above 46 degrees celsius. So the benefits of everything, from vegetable to nut, and spice to grain, are retained at their maximum.
You would think that prices would be exorbitant with all that effort but nope. The Smoothie Bowls pictured above were listed as $10++ each (I especially loved the one with housemade almond milk, bananas, berries and crunchy "green-ola"), while "The Savour BLT" with avocado, an ingenious "bacon" made from coconut, fresh vegetables and lemon cream sandwiched between onion and sunflower seed "bread", cost only $15++.
The strawberries-covered Hangover "Bread" (also $15++) reminded me of a dense alcohol-free fruitcake. Accompanying it were the most amazing cinnamon coconut almond butter, fermented cashew macadamia yogurt and berry-chia jelly - all made in-house naturally.
I also realised how filling these ultra healthy dishes were as the hungry pangs didn't strike till many hours later.

Two for $6.60

They do not sell the scones individually. Only in pairs

Served with cream (that taste like Magnolia milk) and jam, the soft warm scones were delightful with the faint buttery aroma lingering in your mouth after putting them in.

Deal was made sweeter with Burpple Beyond. Only paid $6.60 for four of these delights!

Its the fun time of the year again..HALLOWEEN! took some time to decide which ones to get and ended up going for the chocolate ones. Classic good ol' chocolate. YUM!

Slow-cooked in a sealed claypot, the testi kebab here comes with lamb cubes, potato, onions, eggplant, and tomatoes. The theaterical aspect of this dish is really interesting because the claypot is broken once the fire dies off. It was done carefully so as to prevent the bits of claypot from getting into our food. It's rather wasteful that they can't re-use the claypot, but oh wells. The lamb was really tender as expected with sweet sourish sauce. The taste was kinda similar to patlican musakka without cheese, which is something I enjoy but maybe not when served one after another.

I’ve come to Fill a Pita a few times for my Middle Eastern vegetarian fix. This time I got the Eggplant Pita Sandwich ($11) which was great - the eggplant and salad mix inside was really nicely seasoned. Definitely drop by if you’re looking for something fulfilling yet healthy!

Usual price was 8.90 each, but had 1 for 1 for this :) good service; 3 sauces provided to every table for different flavours. Bibimbap had onions, beansprouts, carrots, white rice. Very filling portions!

[Pending Halal Certificate, Tasting] If you’re loving the beef lan zhou la mian trend that has been making waves around Singapore AND you live in the West, then you’re truly in luck. Tongue Tip Lanzhou Beef Noodles has recently opened a new outlet in Jurong Point! 😍

Here were some of the things we had during the tasting:
- Signature Beef Noodles ($8.90, $10.90)
- Sauerkraut (Suan Cai) Beef Noodles ($9.90, $11.90)
- Mala Spicy Beef Noodles ($9.50, $11.50)
- Dry Beef Noodles ($8.90, $10.90)
- Chicken Fillet Noodles ($7.50, $9.50)

Out of all these dishes which are all just as delectable, I am loving the last two the most. I don’t try to hide the fact that I am #TeamDryNoodles more than anything. 😂 Its quality is very redolent to that of a simple, humble meal. It’s kind of like rice with soy sauce and a fried egg – it’s not much, but it is inexplicably delicious and holds its own. The noodles with some chili oil? That’s really all I will ever need.

Other than that, I did really like how supple yet meaty the beef slices were after they’ve been soaked in the soup. That was something that caught me by surprise. 😧

Some things to take note of:
- The spiciness of the dishes are a little toned down
- All soup dishes are not suitable to vegetarians as it is made with beef stock.

Thank you @burpple for the invitation to this Eatup! ❤️

File this sandwich kiosk for grab-and-go lunch days! The value-for-money Set includes a drink and a sammy of choice. The hot favourite is Turkey Bacon & Cheese ($5.50) – fluffy scrambled eggs, smoky bacon and melty cheddar cheese between buttered brioche toast. P.s. this one's Halal-friendly as well!

Well this photo sucks but it was because the ice creams were pretty good and we dug in super quickly!! Learnt from the staff that the store’s been open for about 3 years now, which was surprising because we’d never heard of it before burpple! Regardless, interesting flavours - of which I would recommend dark chocolate truffle & hazelnut!! It was a favourite amongst all of us.
