Bought chee cheong fan and glutinous rice ($2 each) while looking for something to eat but these were average at best. Found the CCF a tad thick and the rice was quite bland!

Prices are too high for a coffee shop setting! I wouldn’t return without a one for one deal. Rice bowls ($8) are very average, the sort that are easily assembled at home. Rice was quite mushy but the onsen egg flowed nicely! Chicken was better than the duck but I peeked at other orders and the mentaiko option looks good. Burgers ($10) generally fared better - the patties were crispy and the buns buttery soft!

Hands down one of the best chicken satays I’ve had at a great affordable price ($0.70/stick) - the meat is tender with the most flavourful char and nutty sauce!

One of the only stalls I buy mala from! The prices vary a fair bit, but they’re consistent with their flavours. You can comfortably go up a level of spiciness from your usual, but I really appreciate how theirs is not too oily or salty!

A simple bowl of spinach soup ($3.50) chock full of ingredients! Impressed with how clear the soup is despite the strong flavours.

Opted to try the mala here cause it always has patrons!! Unfortunately we were quite put off by the price - it cost close to $20 for two people (who normally average $15 for mala) even when we had made sure to order mostly vegetables. It was a good mix of spiciness & numbness but I wouldn’t patronise again!

My go-to store for grilled chicken wings!! I always make a beeline for these, even before finding a seat or deciding what else to order. Each piece comes with a wing and a drum ($1.40 each), charred to crisp and yet still moist inside. Love the smoky savoury flavours and the tangy heat of the chilli!

Bought a small plate to share! Their red sauce packs a real punch. Loved how the ngoh hiang was generously packed with meat, and the light crispness of the crackers ($5 total)!

Took me surprisingly long to try this stall! It recently relocated from another part of the hawker centre. Loved how fragrant the water cress soup ($3.50) was - it came with many pieces of pork ribs, and plenty of wolf berries! The soup was flavourful and not overtly salty. The steamed pork patty with mushroom ($3.80) was also a really good buy and great for sharing!

Picked this Thai stall as it seemed to have a shorter waiting time! The basil chicken rice ($5) was relatively standard - the sauce tasty, and of sufficient spiciness. Enjoyed the addition of beans!

Tried their yong tau foo previously and had written the stall off. But this spinach soup ($3.50 + $0.50 for rice) impressed me so much!! First of all, the portion is huuuge. And secondly, the soup was so fragrant! It was filled with the requisite spinach, mushrooms and wolf berries. The prawns were sweet and succulent. Was also surprised to find chunks of minced meat inside, all seasoned well! This might become my go-to meal at the hawker centre 🥳

Definitely spoilt for choice here! Chose something out of my norm with their Honey Oolong Tea ($2.50) - the first sip was really sweet, but the bitter depth of oolong comes through after.
