Nice Food

The perfect meal if you’re super hungry and looking to indulge in some fried katsu. I had the Burpple meal, which was so filling and yummy. Overall it was less than $50 for 2 pax, which was so reasonable given that there’s so much food - and it even includes 2 fried oysters! Service was good too, and all the staff were really friendly and approachable.

The beef bowl consist of yummy beef, a runny egg and crispy fish skin. Portion is quite large, and the set meal comes with a drink and soup. The food was prepared quickly even though there were a few orders, and the server was really friendly! Overall a satisfying meal!

Large fish on top of a generous bed of fries! Portion is big, and great value with burpple. Taste nice, although nothing really special. Lovely cafe with nice ambience.

Pleasantly surprised at how good this was. Beef was tender, well-seasoned and fragrant. Rice was well-soaked in the sauce too.

The soft shell crab don ($12.90) came with two decent size soft shell crab, and also mayonnaise and sweet sauce at the side. A pretty good meal, and the server was also really friendly!

Had the salmon mentaiko don ($9.80), which was quite yummy. Mentaiko was creamy and wasn’t too salty, and I would say it was a pretty decent size salmon too. Rice is drizzled with a sweet teriyaki sauce which goes well with the dish.

Pasta and sauce were packed separately but I couldn’t resist mixing it together and taking a bite first before the photo. The hint of truffle aroma had me salivating on the way home. Sauce is creamy and tasty, and pasta was al dente. The pasta is freshly made and quite heavy. Might get a little jelak towards the end. For the price, it’s decent value for a hearty, indulgent meal!

We had the set meal for 2, and the mains came with a 500g Zabuton and 2 sides. For sides, we opted for truffle fries and cream kale.

The truffle fries was ordinary and couldn’t go wrong - it had some truffle aroma and was fried to be lightly crisp. Cream kale had a delicious cream base and was surprisingly addictive.

The Zabuton was tender and had a strong meaty flavor. It was cooked perfectly (we asked for medium rare) but we found some parts to be a little chewy.

For 2 pax, we were pretty stuffed by the end of the meal!

We had the set meal for 2, which started with some delicious burrata and sour dough bread. The burrata was fresh and creamy, and the sour dough bread was crispy and light. The tomatoes added a nice, sweet touch. A perfect combination and a great starter!

Tom Yum pasta was pretty decent and packed a spicy kick. The ingredients were fresh!

This dish was nothing extraordinary but still a fulfilling meal.

This was superb. The perfect ratio of pasta to soft-shell crab. Sauce was fragrant without being too salty so we didn’t get too jelak by the end of the meal. Super yummy, and would go back there to have it again even without burpple one-for-one. A definite must try!

Service crew was also super friendly. Keep up the good work, team!
