Fun Izakaya place for a casual drink and meal. They have a good value set course with all you can drink for 2 hours.

Been coming here often over the years. The dashi here is really amazing and very comforting. First time trying the dashi ramen, and one of the better dishes. Noodles are springy and chewy on a wonderfully tasty dashi broth.

From start to finish the meal was sublime. Each course was perfectly executed with lots of thought going into it. Chefs were friendly and approachable, making the meal an overall wonderful experience.

Was excited to try this place as it specializes in Inaniwa udon, which I really like. Unfortunately this was quite disappointing - the noodles tasted quite ordinary and were not like the ones I had before which were slippery and smooth, these were quite chewy and hard. The egg was also overcooked and was not runny.

Service was friendly if a bit absent minded. They forgot to put in our orders, though made up for it be giving us free dessert.

One of the first things asked when making a reservation is ‘do you drink’? That sums up the philosophy of this place, so if you don’t it’s not the place for you. It is a small hole in the wall joint which is fun and friendly, and the owner sits to have a chat and a drink and the other patrons start talking to each other after a while. The food is great for going with drinks - small bites which are unusual and delicious.

Went for the Omakase lunch, priced at $150, which was the mid-priced lunch on the menu. It was a really good experience, the sushi was fresh and the rice vinegared just the right amount. The pictured was probably the highlight, Uni and Ikura mini-bowl. I have come for the $240 menu before, and the main difference is you get more cooked dishes for the more expensive menu.
