Peruvian cuisine 🇵🇪

This restaurant serves authentic dishes from Peru (according to them).

What we had:
+ Ceviche\Zesty raw fish for Appetizer
+ Cochinillo con Arroz\Suckling pork with Rice (Christmas menu) for Main
+ Parihuela\Seafood soup with crab meat for Side

Seafood was very fresh and the service was great too. For the price tag, the portion could be bigger tho. 🥹

Usually the paella takes about 30 min to be served but the service was exceptionally fast that day! We ordered the pork and scallop paella, along with some tapas like the charcoal grilled octopus and croquettes. They also serve Bday (cup)cakes! 🧁

Had sambal prawns for starters, squid paella for main and a cheesy cheesecake for dessert. The starters dish is my favourite- love the succulent prawn meat! Just don’t ask me why this is on a Spanish restaurant menu. Perhaps an alternate take on the delicious gambas.

Go ahead and try chimichangas if you’ve never tried before. It’s like burrito, except that it’s fried. It’s good to add some habanero hot sauce to this dish for extra flavour if you like spicy food.

Words (and this photo) cannot describe how much I enjoyed the food at Muchachos. It certainly raised the bar for Mexican cuisine (in SG). The quesadilla is super crispy with a generous amount of stuffing and the right amount of quesa (cheese). It’s super busy during office lunch hours so do come early to chope a seat and avoid the long queue. 🌮

Tapas Club offers great Spanish food at a good price. We tried the paella served with ibérico pork & mushrooms. Besides the paella, we ordered tapas like the ibérico pork collar steak and the grilled octopus. We really like the pork collar steak because the meat was tender and juicy. The grilled octopus meat was a little too salty for our liking. We also tried classic tapas like the ham and mushroom croquettes, the eggplant chips with honey and the Spanish omelette. I recommend the pork/squid paella, ibérico pork collar steak and ham croquettes! 😋
