The beef and pork was incredible, cooked perfectly with just the right balance of tenderness, juiciness, and fat. Melted in my mouth and was bursting with flavor.
The beef tartare paired with avocado was equally impressive, offering a fresh, creamy combination without any strong raw taste. The hint of lime also provided a refreshing flavour profile to the dish!
Everything was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The atmosphere was really nice too! Highly recommend!
thoroughly enjoyed the Aoi omakase lunch menu!
we started off with a crab meat chawanmushi that was warm and hearty. next, we had the 4 piece sushi - grouper witb lime zest, long tailed snapper seasoned with lime juice and charcoal salt, marinated saba with yuzu and the signature sushi - otoro topped with chotoro, caviar and gold flakes! all 4 sushis were absolutely delicious and tasted really fresh!
next, we had their signature a5 wagyu premium don and it was an explosion of flavours! there was the tender a5 wagyu alongside foie gras, uni, fish roe and topped with truffle shavings! this was definitely the highlight of the meal and understand why it is hiryu’s signature dish!
we ended off the meal with a side of miso soup and a refreshing mochi dessert!
highly highly recommend hiryu if you’re looking for an indulgent and luxurious experience!
a very rich and hearty bowl of chicken soup! we ordered the cordyceps white chicken soup and the ginseng black chicken soup! both soups were very delicious and flavourful. the chicken was infused with the taste of the soup and super tender!
the sides of aged preserved radish omelette, handmade prawn roll and cucumber in vinaigrette also complemented the soups really well! would definitely recommend to bring your parents here to treat them to a healthy yet tasty meal!
ordered the cod fish & chips and the guiness beef bourguignon for the mains! thoroughly enjoyed the beef main and it was really tender and paired really well with the garlic confit mashed potatoes.
for cocktails, we got the wish upon a lantern and last man standing. the drinks are fascinating with back story explanations and added interesting theatrics to the meal!
definitely recommend for people who would like to have an exotic cocktail to pair with your meal!
recently tried 3 sweet scones & 3 savoury scones at their parkway parade outlet! my favourite from the sweet series is the dark chocolate scone & from the savoury scones the truffle scone! the scones were fresh and delicious! particularly enjoyed the texture of the scones paired with the clotted cream!
i also tried the sea salt caramel brownie which was very dense and decadent! a yummy treat that had definitely satisfied my sweet tooth!
we ordered the soup prawn noodles with tobiko prawn balls & prawns, seafood paofan and ngoh hiang tasting platter.
the prawn broth was full of umami and very delicious! the noodles were cooked perfectly as well. the prawns served were very fresh and juicy!
the seafood paofan had three prawns and many clams! broth was equally tasty and the portion was very filling.
really enjoyed the ngoh hiang plate as well and the chilli was very delicious and went very well with it!
had an amazing dining experience at gunther’s - from the delicious food to the pleasant & warm service from the staff, would definitely recommend all to visit the restaurant!
had the 4 course meal which came with 2 appetisers, 1 main course, 1 dessert. first started with a warm mini baguette which was really soft and paired perfectly with the butter served.
the seared toro with the halfboiled egg & vinegar seasoned rice tasted really great!! enjoyed the clams which had a lace of wine taste as well.
the maine lobster was super fresh and you could taste the sweetness of it! the sauce that topped the lobster was also so good!
ended off the meal with the fine apple tart which was one of a kind - thinly crisp on the outside and filled with yummy apple puree; it was also served with rum and raisin ice cream! also had the petite fours - a canele, dark chocolate and mini freshly baked lemon financiers which were equally tasty.
we ordered the signature “moo ping” smoked duroc pork ribs and it had a smoky taste from the special woodfire used to grill the meat! the pork was fall off the bone tender and delicious!
the grain-fed striploin was tender as well and the tamarind chimichuri dip added a nice tangy flavour to the dish.
we also got the grilled prawn pomelo salad (had a lot of prawns!), seafood tomyum soup, burnt butter cabbage and prawn omelette which were nice additions to the meal!
we finished off with the thai milk tea panna cotta which was an interesting modern rendition of thai dessert! it had multiple textures which made the dessert very appetising.
Visited Market Bistro for dinner and was impressed by the selection of the food! We ordered the Steak Frites, Irish Duck Confit and the Fried Baby Squid.
Enjoyed the Irish Duck Confit the most! The duck meat was fall off the bone tender and the sweet potato mash and greens gave the dish a nice variety of texture.
Really loved the in-house made spicy aioli and it complemented the fried baby squid very well.
We also had a Chocolate Brownie to end off the meal on a sweet note and it was delicious.
The staff was very warm and welcoming too! Overall a really nice restaurant for a dinner date.
Ordered the Honey Mustard Pork Ribs & Carribean Pork Ribs. Ribs were really meaty, juicy and fall-off the bone tender! Personally preferred the Honey Mustard marinade as the sweet and savoury taste was perfectly balanced. Ordered a side of straight-cut fries, coleslaw and buttered corn. The fries are probably the BEST i’ve eaten - super crisp and well-seasoned, didn’t get soggy even at the end of the meal. The portion of the ribs was A LOT especially for two pax - would suggest getting a portion of ribs and something else from the menu to share.
