I recently had dinner at this serene omakase spot, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The elegant interior and gentle music created a calm atmosphere, perfect for savouring each dish.
The meal started with a clean and refreshing salad, which was a great way to open up the palate. Their green tea was wonderfully fragrant and paired beautifully with every course. The Otoro was the star of the night—extremely fatty and buttery, it melted in my mouth–especially when combined with a touch of wasabi and seasoned rice.
An unexpected favourite was the Castella egg. Made with anchovies, it was an intriguing mix of sweet and savoury that worked surprisingly well. Overall, a memorable dining experience that I highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a well-curated and delicious omakase dinner.
I recently picked up some scones from Cold Storage at Parkway Parade, and they were fantastic! The texture was just right—not too dry or too moist. The sweet scones were a highlight for me, crumbly and subtly sweet. I also bought a brownie which was my favourite – rich and decadent with tiny chocolate drops that added a satisfying bite which any chocolate lover would appreciate.
The quiche was also impressive—a savoury delight with a creamy filling and a perfectly buttery crust. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of their delicious baked goods!
A wonderful and elegant fine-dining restaurant. Service staff were attentive and cordial.
I went for the 4 course lunch menu which was filling and had a diverse array of delicious food.
Each dish had their own unique presentation and mix of colours. I thoroughly enjoyed admiring them as much as eating them.
The cold angel hair pasta with caviar was a stand-out starter. Briny caviar mixed perfectly with the light pasta to create a delicately balanced delight
The starter Gratin was soft and creamy with a touch of tangy sauce that was tied together with the vegetable garnish in a clean finish
For mains, I had the wagyu steak which was presented with a dash of creativity. The garlic, savoury sauce and crispies make the dynamic dish a continuous chain of surprises
For dessert, I got the earl grey coated with almond powder which was absolutely fragrant.
Went for dinner here and made a reservation so the wait was not long.
The ngoh hiang was crispy and I really liked their sauce. It was sweet and complemented the ngoh hiang perfectly.
The prawn noodle broth was amazing and rich in flavour. Richer than most which made it stand out. I ordered tobiko prawn balls and pork shabu wtith my prawn noodle which were delicious.
Had an amazing experience at shukuu
The Sashimi was so fresh and fat!! The mentai sushi was also coated fully with mentaiko making it an indulgent and savoury bite.
I highly recommend their yuzu shu also, it was so refreshing and sweet.
Their pork asparagus was also fresh and makes for a healthy balanced addition to your meal
A homely and bustling diner nestled in Novena, just a few minutes walk away from the MRT!
I love the food and ambience at Hong Kong Cha Kee.
For my mains, I ordered the Stir-fried Beef Noodles which had a nice smoky touch to it. The beef was succulent which absolutely won me over because I'm quite particular about the juiciness of beef slices. Nobody likes dry beef in their stir-fry. The noodles were also really glossy which I love.
For dessert, I ordered the Peanut Butter French toast with golden syrup. I liked that we could pour the syrup ourselves, so it's slightly DIY. Sweet syrup, savoury, crispy peanut butter filling and fluffy French toast came together in this dessert to delight my palate! It was such a rich blend of textures and flavours.
For drinks, I ordered the cold Hong Kong Style Milk tea which was really decent. I really loved their unique presentation which definitely helped in keeping my milk tea cold, haha. Definitely velvety and smooth with the nostalgic taste you'd expect from Cha Chaan Tengs in Hong Kong.
I will be coming back again!!!
Genuinely enjoyed my Friday night dinner at Market Bistro.
Started off my meal with their Fried Baby Squid. Crispy on the outside, tender and fresh on the inside, this was a real seafood delight. The Spicy Mayo Sauce was the icing on the cake and it was definitely my favourite part of this dish. With chilli flakes providing a delectable crunch, the Mayo sauce was not too spicy for me as someone who is adverse to spice. A perfect combination of creamy, tangy, crunchy with a slight heat, this would definitely have to be one of my favourite dishes featuring squid. As always you can squeeze some lemon to enrich the savoury flavours of the squid!
For my Mains, I ordered the Wagyu Burger and I was delightfully surprised by the brioche bun which was imparted with a fragrance, I believe was some sort of wood. It really tied together the entire burger. Succulent and tender Wagyu with decadent cheese and crisp, aromatic brioche bun, I will definitely be ordering this again!
I ordered the mojito as well which complemented my meal perfectly by providing an icy, refreshing finish. It's best for those who like zesty and minty drinks.
I ended off my meal with the brownie dessert which was an interesting mix of savoury and sweet. As an avid lover of Vanilla Ice cream, the pairing of rich, buttery chocolate with creamy fragrant vanilla was sublime! With sprinkles of caramelised popcorn imparting a touch of salty and buttery flavours, I think this dish blends together harmoniously!
Had an absolutely wonderful experience at Meadesmoore. The staff were very attentive and cordially explained the dishes in detail to us.
The Australian Wagyu Beef was fantastic. Succulent and juicy – the fats simply melted in my mouth. We were given two sauces that complemented the beef perfectly, I personally preferred the barbecue sauce. Even without the sauce, the beef was already marinated and it was slightly salty.
The tiramisu exceeded my expectations. The soft cake paired with the absolutely fragrant and velvety Tiramisu cream made for a great dessert. What surprised me was the touch of Rum that really enhanced the flavours of the Tiramisu, giving it a clean finish.
The Mac and Cheese was right up my alley as well. Made with four different blends of cheese, seared and topped with a cap of truffle the Mac and cheese had a rich cheesy flavour that was both indulgent and satisfying.
