Was doing some research on Shibuya Toast with my friend Lennie and we decided to head down to try one for ourselves. Loaves Me offered the best prices and so we chose to pay that a visit. We took quite a while to find it walking around the Bras Basah area, not knowing that it was located in the BASEMENT of SMU, so take note on that! The Shibuya Toast here was fluffy but a bit too soft and the ice cream was also very mediocre. The chocolate sauce and banana tried to save the dish, with the hazelnuts not really adding much value to the entire mix. I guess, for this price I couldn't have expected much, so I would say that it's an average dessert at a worthy price. Will try Dazzling Cafe's much-more-expensive-version soon!

Heartiness (portion): 3/5
Tastiness (product): 3/5
Worthiness (price): 5/5

Ambience: Convenience would be key for this place, if you're an SMU student, but for anyone else it wouldn't be. The chairs have cushions on them, giving it a very Thai feel. Ventilation is not very good so it's not exactly very pleasant to sit for a long time, except at the corner away from the kitchen.

Will find one or two more versions perhaps after this one.

Most seafood menu here is SGD7.5 but u can have 10% discount if you are SMUs students. Taste is very Thai.. and Spicy..The noodle is not really dry.. There are some soup on the bottom of the plate..

[Strawberry Chocolate Toast S$6.50] - we think this is better than Wa Cafe's toast, not so drying.

A spin-off of the famed version by After You, which i coincidentally had when i was in Bangkok just under 2 weeks ago. The fluffy inside-crispy outside toast was nicely buttered and delicious, but the cheap-tasting vanilla ice cream, not so much. Appreciate that i can get my Thai iced tea fix easily between classes though - will try that soon.

Sinfully delicious! The fried toast with a crispy exterior and soft buttery inside. What more can you ask for?
