🤔: $4.50ish for a pot of this chocolate-y deliciousness, cake isnmt as 'moist' as advertised, but when paired with the chocolate fudge, it hardly comes off as dry
favourite dessert to get @ M&S!!!!
💵: $5.90
🤔: Custard filling was blander than I would like it, but was still not too bad. Pretty cheap for its price.
Lovely little treats that simply irresistible.
Contains blueberries, blackcurrants, cranberries & crumble topping.
Aromatic when opening, lemon flavoured.
Got a latte, a raspberry roulade and a chocolate cake. Usually a big fan of chocolate cakes because what can go wrong, but to our horror, it was super dry and crumbly. Raspberry roulade was good, albeit a little too sweet but the sourness of the raspberry jam cuts it out. Latte was okay, would recommend getting it since the cakes are pretty sweet. Service was horrendous. Staff was rude and ignorant, and even got annoyed at a customer and rolled her eyes just because someone asked her for a tray.

we used to have this lemon meringue roulade from Marks and Spencer quite often when we were in UK. broken pieces of free-range egg meringue, sprinkled with sugar pieces gave the soft swissroll a varied texture and mouthfeel. shreds of caramelized orange zest, spread with lemon curd provided that ultimate oomph, a lethal combination of mild sweetness balanced by the lemon's tangy-ness. the lemon curd was very rich and dense, a striking contrast to the light sponge cake. what sweet treats are you having?
