Enjoy dining without burning a hole in your pocket, no membership required
[RAFFLES PLACE, SINGAPORE] Easily the top 3 ramen in Singapore. I was looking forward to trying this new ramen restaurant @menshox_sg that has opened recently, and it definitely did not disappoint.
The Toripaitan Ramen ($17) was HEAVY in its chicken essence and full of umami flavours. If you like a deep rich tonkotsu kind of soup, then this is for you. Although the soup tasted really meaty, it was surprisingly clean and well-layered without any odour. The al dente noodles managed to catch alot of the soup and it was so slurp worthy! They don't neglect the toppings too, as the char siu slices were very tender and flavourful. Egg was expensive at an additional $3, but it was perfectly cooked and rather huge.
If you are a big eater, please get their kaedama or additional portion of noodles, as the first order is free. A tip is to request a bowl of their plain chicken broth to add into your leftover ramen soup with the extra noodles. You will be surprised, the chicken broth is not salty at all, but FULL OF FLAVOUR. That creamy tone is really from boiling the chicken bones for hours. This gives an extra depth to the soup, while reducing its saltiness!
This was such an enjoyable experience (which you can tell from my empty bowl). Service was good as well and there wasn't much of a queue surprisingly! Really recommend y'all ramen lovers out there to give this a try 😍
