It's not difficult to see why this Michelin-starred spot along Keong Saik Road is highly beloved by the foodie community β the digs are spacious, ambience is welcoming, and the food's fantastic. Treat yourself to their 7-Course Autumn Set Menu ($188) or go for the 4-Course Lunch Menu ($98) β Burppler Nobelle Liew recommends the Jeju Abalone Multigrain Risotto for an additional $10. Also look out for the punchy beef tartare cone starter and melt-in-your-mouth NZ rack of lamb.

Opened by South Korean chef-owner Sun Kim, who honed his chops in Waku Ghin and Tetsuya's in Sydney, Meta marries French cuisine with Asian flavours. Come for their Meta Executive Lunch Set ($48) β a three-course meal that is "an experience for the palate", according to Burppler Dex Neo. Don't be surprised to see interesting pairings on the menu like Hokkaido scallop served with pickled apple, baked raisins and yuzu basil oil, as well as slow-cooked beef cheek with a savoury parsnip miso paste on the side. The latter has been cooked for 40 hours β resulting in unbelievably tender beef that doesn't require any knife action. End your meal on a sweet note with the poached pear with ginger sorbet β it comes with the yummiest honey jelly and cookie crumble base.

Opened by South Korean chef-owner Sun Kim, who honed his chops in Waku Ghin and Tetsuya's in Sydney, Meta serves smart French-inspired cuisine with an Asian twist β think wagyu tartare with Korean pear kimchi; fresh oyster with pomelo sacs, lemon and ginger; and amebi (Japanese sweet shrimp) with ikura, yuzu and apple bits. The five-course tasting menu ($88) is ideal for a business lunch but if you're here for a special occasion, the eight-course option ($128) is worth splashing out on. They will be rolling out their new spring tasting menu in March.
