My favourite kind of roast pork involves ultra crisp, crackling skin, soft and tender lean meat and just the right bit of melt-in-the-mouth fat.
This is it. I just wish they had more! Aunty says they roast it in-house to serve with their curry noodles, and so there aren’t too many portions to spare daily.
Hidden gem alert! This neighbourhood joint in industrial Puchong does one great dish (and that’s all it needs). You can get their curry noodles with a plethora of toppings, from seafood to roast pork and fish paste - in addition to the usual taufupok, fu chuk, long beans, pork skin and cockles.
The broth is thin but nonetheless flavourful and umami-packed. Best enjoyed with mee hoon methinks!
