Chili sauce is not good this time, probably it's not fresh. Ckn abit dry, both the breast and drumstick.

Everything else was as good as ever

But this aunty here now is really an idiot. I asked her for special set without rice but she said you can't do that. Why?? How hard is it to NOT put rice on the plate?

Food quality is good as always

Yearly pilgrimage again

Good amounts of oil without being greasy, but I didn't find them as mindblowing this time. Feel like what sets them apart is the ample use of sweetness which makes it very indulgent if you didn't realise what's GG on.

Overall quite strong still, not sure if they've changed or I've changed

Yearly pilgrimage. Their chicken is really ridiculously juicy, I'm pretty sure they inject it with something lol. Skin was so sinful too, good stuff as usual. Soup was ok but the finely chopped aromatics saved it

Been a price increase lately but it's still very worth it to change to drumstick and also add chicken(the amount added is almost equivalent to buying another plate)

Never noticed this before but the soup is actually quite good even if they didn't add the fried garlic. Moreover you have a choice between the small and large bowl

The aunty might count wrongly though so be honest and own up if she gives you too much change :p

Note that it's not deboned. Grew up on this and so I might be biased, but I really think every component is executed perfectly. Rice was fragrant, chicken combined with the sauce was flavourful, and even their chili is nicely citrusy. Because of this stall I failed to understand why anyone would eat white chicken until I tasted xingyun's version. If there's anything I'm not happy with, its probably the cucumbers since they somehow don't really go with the soy sauce.
