The service of this place is excellent . It feels like its going to your friend’s hse . The ambience is great , lots of al fresco dining . Perfect for a hearty breakfast coz it opens 8am .

I quite liked this despite the long wait time of 20 minutes and the deceptively small but actually quite filling portion. You'll get 2 organic eggs nestled in a simmering pool of creamy cauliflower mash. Hidden under the surface, specks of smokey bacon and wilted spinach await to be discovered like sunken treasures. The hero of the dish though, are the succulent and juicy pieces of well-seasoned truffle portobello mushrooms that are a more than welcome replacement to meat.

With absolutely gorgeous and spacious interiors conducive for a relaxed brunch over drinks with friends, Supernova is a relatively recent addition to the East from the founders of sister outlets Apollo Coffee Bar in Serangoon as well as Neptune on East Coast Road. It's a much needed injection of fresh blood in the sleepy neighbourhood of Tanjong Katong.

Expect conventional cafe meals such as this Grilled Cheese with Pumpkin Soup. Whilst the former fared well with crusty sourdough overflowing with gruyere and mozzarella, we found the soup thin and lacking in flavour.

If you love steak, I would highly recommend this dish. Loaded with bites of tender and succulent striploin beef, the beef was flavourfully seasoned and pan-seared perfectly to my choice of doneness (medium). The two sunny side up added a nice layer of creaminess and the green sauce made of herb and mint was refreshing and cut through the richness of the beef. πŸ‘πŸ‘

SuperNova is the 6th outlet by the same group behind Atlas Coffeehouse and Columbus Coffee Co. In terms of concept, it has a modern stylish dining vibe with some upscale dishes, such as a spin on an American classic - chicken and waffles, where the waffles are substituted with french toast. The toast was soft and buttery with a crispy caramelised layer, and the fried chicken was very well done - crispy, juicy and well marinated with spices. Drizzle on some maple syrup for an extra sweetness. πŸ˜‹
