The chicken thigh bites are fried to perfection – extremely succulent on the inside. The batter is special too; light and salty, and its flavours are enhanced with a splash of lemon juice and mayo.

Super value for money! A fairly large bowl of rice topped with juicy chicken and a very wet egg – while I love my eggs I did feel this was a little too wet for me. Solid lunch for those working around the area!

Simple, salty and juicy chicken at this quiet restaurant in J’s Gate Dining. Very unassuming but glad I found it. Generous portion for two, and me thinks a highball is definitely needed with this order. They serve it with two lemon wedges – squeeze both. The juices really brings out the flavour of the batter. Also served with a dollop of mayo but I think it’s good enough without.
