$35 for a huge pot of turtle soup, portion is enough to share up to 6 people. Herbal soup tastes light and savory, there is rice wine available but I prefer not to add it because I like the strong coriander taste thats present in the soup. Turtle meat tastes similar to chicken meat and the flippers are rich in collagen. There were no turtle eggs at the time of my visit, waitress said that it's quite rare for them to have it so do make a call to check before heading down if you are a big fan of turtle eggs.
Turtle House is having a promotion, if you spend over $150 you get to enjoy 2 free crabs and you can decide how you want it to be handled. Crabs are fresh and I really love how the chili crab sauce as it leans towards the spicy side (chili crab sauce these days tends to lean towards the sweeter side).
As I took my first mouthful I knew this would be my new fav. Soup tasted robust, coupled w red dates and coriander in it just elevates the fragrance and taste. Meat tasted like chicken but the texture like pork, dipped in specially prepared chili sauce makes it even more appetizing. Rice wine is available to give it a more intense flavor. On promotion now it's $6 a bowl instead of $12. There's also an extensive variety for exotic food and seafood.
