These were really rich in flavour. The scallops were torched but not fully cooked so the texture was more like sashimi. The only drawback was there's too little of it for the price I'm paying.
The $50+ 1-for-1 3 course meal comes with a sukiyaki truffle don, mentaiko scallops, and a drink. It was pricey but very delicious. The combination of flavours and texture was amazing and everyone enjoyed it. (I suspect it was so expensive because it uses real truffles but I couldn't really taste it so..)
The truffle fries were an additional side that cost almost $15 w/ GST+service charge, but the fries were thinner than most fries and therefore very crispy and flavourful. Highly recommend as well.
Made a reservation for Valentine’s Day celebration, but was notified that only V-Day menu was available and ala carte menu was not available (contrary to what was communicated previously). But kudos to the owner for apologising twice and giving us a discount:)
We ended up ordering the V-Day menu (Waa Cow Premium Uni Don) - the Uni & Wagyu Don and the Uni Chirashi Don. We could tell taste that ingredients used were fresh, portions were also just nice. We especially liked the Wagyu, Foie Gras, Chutoro and Scallops. Yuzu Sake that came with the set was excellent and paired well with the Dons too.
Will visit again, but will probably choose the cheaper options instead.
Great value meal set with two dons, scallop starter and beer pint!!
Very filling and complete set and great with burrple pricing
If you’re looking for some wholesome quality chirashi / wagyu steak and be away from the bustling crowd, head over to Waa Cow! Actually not just only are their bowls fresh & awesome, so are their starters! Such as the chicken karrage and truffle fries. Their chicken karrage is so meaty and juicy!
Both the flavors and portions were really good for the buck! Even the juiciness and moistness of the dishes were all on point. If you have Burpple Beyond, they do have a $50++ set menu for 2! Very worth the price!
Today’s thin slices of wagyu beef came with a little charring which give it a smoky taste. Not bad. The Foie Gras was an add in item and you can make it into a set that comes with a drink and salmon sashimi as appetiser. At $38, not exactly cheap but well worth the money.
I’ll be back. Again.
