Enjoy dining without burning a hole in your pocket, no membership required
Ugh so good, I can finally satisfy my Wheathead craving at their brick-and-mortar store along the foot of One-North Eden condominium. Yay, westies unite!
As lunch was only available from 11 am onwards, I reached about 10.40 am (kiasu me) and was real lucky to snag a seat indoors after about a 5-10 minutes wait (they are a tiny 6-seater dine-in space). Off their daily-changing menu of fresh bakes, I got their Cabbage & Mushroom Galette ($12) and Cold Brew Biscuit Tea ($4.50) to start the day. The savoury pastry was a comforting slice (though pricey) with a good amount of earthy mushrooms, umami cabbage and buttery flakey (cheese?) crust. The yummy fragrant iced tea was also a nice morning perk-me-up.
For a solid meal, the Herbed Chicken Salad Sandwich ($18) was bangin’. Think crunchy cucumber dill salad, finely chopped punchy red onions, delightfully refreshing bits of celery, moist and succulent herby chicken salad on crisp-crusty focaccia spread with a thin layer of savoury mustard sauce(?). So good! The well-seasoned filling was extremely moreish and ideal with the incredibly delicious focaccia.
