It was rather disappointing. Hahah! The meats were sliced way tooooo thin that there's no satisfaction in eating them. The stocks are lacking in flavor. Shabu Sai is so much better!
Cheaper version of haidilao, with that French gel manicure? Sold sold sold! That tomato soup is so superb, that I don't mind going back for more. But in all, it's decent and clean enough. Nothing overly special or exciting. Self-service because they are shortage of staff, and a small menu. But for $19 (+$4, for the sauces), whose to complain.
There is a wide range of fresh and quality ingredients to choose from. Each diner gets a free mini abalone too. There are 20 condiments to choose from and many are specially made by the head chef. Nice ambience too. Worth travelling for.
