Located in a secluded industrial area along Sin Ming Road, coffee shops here are known for their roasted/braised duck stalls. Nestled in a corner is a Bak Kut Teh stall here there seems to patronised by regulars. The Bak Kut Teh here prides themselves on being traditional, since 1996. In a coffeeshop setting, they serve Chinese tea together with your Bak Kut Teh set in a traditional teapot, placing a kettle of boiling water for you to drink or traditional Chinese style. So, if you’re craving a traditional Bak Kut Teh experience - ulu location, roadside vibes, and even roosters roaming around kinda environment, this is for you.
However, don’t expect much from the meal itself. Youtiao wasn’t crisp or hot. The soap was quite diluted, although on the peppery and spicier side! Much appreciated by me🙏🏻 the sides of braised cabbage and tau kee were decent. But overall, this meal was nothing to shout about.
