More Reviews of good food at 555 Villa Thai

A Thai tempura kangkong. It’s tasty with sauce, otherwise it taste rather blend. We had tomyam and it tasted yummy with sauce.

We had Mango Sticky Rice($10) together with Mookata as a side rather than dessert. 555. Fragrance warm sticky rice with got like jasmine taste was nice. Paired with sweet Thai mango then drizzle with coconut milk. I find that the mango wasn't sweet enough for me as I eaten better one before.πŸ˜…

For the price, it isn't worth it. It fulfill the basics but not that satisfying moment when you drank it. Plus the sweetness level is still not enough. Rather off drinking their Ice Lemongrass($7) which was much more thirst-quenching and refreshing.

I remember the ambience and the live music more than the food. You can easily bluff someone that you are in Bangkok.

The food was rather average, and kinda pricey too.

Nestled away in the far East, this authentic, airy space with live music is great for gathering with the group. Go small with the Mookata Set ($49 for two) to make space for some of their excellent zi char dishes β€” the Fried Garlic Pork ($15) and Salt-Baked Sea Bass ($28). P.S. Head inside for a turn at the karaoke bar!

Love the relaxing atmosphere and can see airplanes take off and land near by. It’s like a little Thai village, served by Thai and authentic Thai dishes. The Mookata seems to be most popular. We order a Kang Kong dish, tomyam soup, charcoal grilled prawns, pad Thai and pineapple fried rice. Very strong tasting and a tad salty for us, but delicious nonetheless.

It’s a nice experience and we would love to come with more people to enjoy their Mookata.

Awesome mookata and Thai green teas served in this hidden gem in Changi. Recommend to drive in/take cab because it will be a rather long walk if you take public transport. They also have beer and live band and view of Changi Airport's runway. Really loving the chill vibe here.

Mookata comes in a set and you can order additional items as well. Both the chicken and pork are well marinated and seafood is fresh (the prawns are super big and juicy). Soup wise you can choose chicken or tom yum, and for the tom yum soup they actually mix in some spices and tom yum paste inside the pot. Will definitely come back here!

Thinking of organizing a family dinner, any kind of celebrations, events or to chill out with friends, think no more. @555villathai , situated right at the end of Cosford Road, they have it all. From authentic Thai foods to mookata, live bands to karaoke, happy hours beer drinking sessions and game of darts, it's a one-stop for all. Away from the noisy city to the nature surrounding and the roaring thunder from the airport terminal, its just one unique place to chill out. Open space bistro setting for diners , air-conditioning karaoke pub for singers, darts machine for those who wants to destress, feel like I'm in Thailand. There's different bands entertain daily, too. And on certain days, they will add in magician to entertain adults and kids. If you are in the East, remember don't give it a miss.

This place may be seriously far and hard to find, but you'll get to enjoy your mookata in fresh air and with a view of planes landing on the Changi Airport runway. A joint venture between Hood Bar and Cafe and Tom Yum Kungfu, you really get to experience the best each group has to offer β€” a chilled out environment with live music and good Thai food. Go for the mookata set for two ($49) that comes with instant noodles, vegetables, meats and fresh seafood. Soup bases include flavours like black chicken and tom yum. Be sure to order the Mango Salad ($10) and the Fried Garlic Pork ($15) to snack on over a beer as you wait for your food to cook! P.S. Indoors, you can sing your heart out at the karoke bar.
Avg Price: $30 per person

the place is really unassuming but once u reach there you feel like you are in Thailand. From the servers to the decor to the music, I dare say it's almost 100% authentic Thai. It's open air and spacious and on a cool evening like today perfect for Mookata. Portion is just nice for two and their chilli is shiok yet spicy. The food is fresh and the chicken soup base is flavourful, we kept topping up more. And there was even a live band that started playing at 8. We will be back! #burpple @mybulgingtummy #shiok #mookata

Dedicating a post for this. Got to come have it. So delicious that we had 3 plates of it.πŸ˜‹
Cockles were fresh. The sauce pairing was fantastic , just that its too spicy for us to handle. Spicy but shiok! Refreshingly awesome.πŸ€—

Welcome to "Thailand". πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡ 555
Joining my friends for a short getaway to have some food @555villathai .πŸ›„
The location although was quite ulu and dimly lit but the atmosphere and crowd here were vibrant and enthusiastic.πŸ₯³
We had Mookata for 4($69.90)😐 which consisted of,
- Marinated Pork(450g)
- Marinated Chicken(250g)
- Lemongrass Chicken(250g)
- Prawn(6 pcs)
- Scallops(4 pcs)
- Cheese Tofu(8 pcs)
- Vegetable Basket(1 Set) - Beancurd Skin, Glass Noodle, White Cabbage, Enoki mushroom, Corn & Watercress
- Raw Egg(2 pcs)
- Thai Mama Noodle(2 Pck)
Add On:
- Bak Kwa($10)πŸ‘Œ
- Pork Belly($9)
- Pork Collar($10)
Meat were grilled and vegetables were boiled over charcoal stove to give its unique smokey taste. Marination was okay but meat taste boring, old & not tender. Seafood were not that fresh either. At least the soup was great. Oh and their homemade chilli sauce that helps a lot in elevating the food.πŸ˜™
.
TLDR; food normal, portion little, price expensive.

It's a pretty secluded place that you can visit by car or grabbing πŸ˜… Despite a huge dinning area, they have enough staff that to serve the dishes after a short wait. Located beside the runway of the Changi Airport, you can see planes taking off but the downside is the loud noise. What stand out in the UFO steamboat set is the Bak kwa and chicken slices! Seafood are pretty fresh as well. There's this really spicy pork though, so if you come with childrens, do take note. We also ordered an additional Fried Garlic Pork. It was fried to perfection, golden crisp!! Live band performance starts from around 8pm so expect some good music! πŸ’²~$40/pax

What's the difference? The UFO looks alike Mookata pot separates the BBQ with the soup base. Suitable for those who love Mookata but finds that the soup base is too oily after all the essence of the meat and seafood dripped into the soup base.
