Tonight's fishy dinner is a whole steamed fish with lemon grass, Thai spices and herbs. A tangy sensation followed by a spicy kick.
Cost: $14.90
Thanks to #MakanPlacesLostAndFound I located the very different style of yong tau foo. The yong tau foo are deep fried and drenched in minced meat mushroom sauce before serving. Definitely not your healthy kind of food but oh so tasty.
Cost: $13.30 for 2 pax
Confit of duck leg from France served with mash potato, braised savoy cabbage and au jus.
Pretty fancy stuff for a coffee shop and well worth the price paid. The mash potato here is sooooo good! I liked the duck confit a lot! Although some have commented that they find it a little dry, but mine was ok, or maybe I like it that way 😝 #LaterGram from lunch with my MIA Friday lunch buddy @poksie.

Love the smooth, velvety texture of the #coffee!
$8.90 - The consistency of the cake was very good, moist & soft, yet it had a firm structure just so it would easily fall apart. The cream was unique as I'd usually expect something like cream cheese, or someth along that taste but instead it had a lime taste to it, if I'm not wrong, which suprised me. But it was great, filling piece of cake!

If you miss the western cakes and bakes from the 1980's, then you will enjoy this Singapore-style little coffeeshop/cafe for its originality and nostalgia. Fairly convenient location too.
